It looks bad, although Gary O'Neil's team have had a horrible run, having already faced Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Liverpool.
After the international break they take on Manchester City. Brentford away, who are winless in their past three league matches, presents a great opportunity for some points.

Unbelievable that we haven’t dropped points there. I loved Klopp but 100% Liverpool don’t win that game under Klopp. Grinding out results is the sign of a great team. Palace unlucky with the penalty shout too!

Image source, Michael EmonsA quirk of the fixture schedule has seen West Ham play all six of their league matches in the capital, and that run continues for their next three games with Ipswich and Manchester United coming to east London with an away game at Tottenham sandwiched in the middle.
While West Ham are yet to win at London Stadium in the league in 2024-25, they are yet to lose a league game away from there.
A first home league victory for Julen Lopetegui’s side would take them to eight points from seven matches, while a loss would leave them hovering above the relegation zone.
Slaven Bilic, with four wins and a draw and 13 points in 2015-16, has the best record among West Ham’s Premier League managers in their opening seven league matches in charge.
The lowest totals are the five points Harry Redknapp, Glenn Roeder, Avram Grant and David Moyes second time around gained. Lopetegui, who replaced Moyes in the summer, needs to avoid defeat against Ipswich to move clear of those bosses.

Results are going to have to start coming in for Crystal Palace.
I think it was the performance more than anything else, they were devoid of confidence. It looked at times like there wasn't really communication going on.
This one could have easily been a far higher scoreline.

Boss Steve Cooper has asked for the trust of the Leicester fans in his programme notes.
Yet he has called any talk about how certain he is about succeeding irrelevant until the results come. He understands the focus must be on the here and now.
That trust will only continue if the Foxes start to win and Cooper has made a big call this afternoon with Harry Winks benched for tactical reasons and not because he is injured.
The visit of Bournemouth is the start of a four-game spell, either side of the international break, with Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich to come and, externally at least, this run has been picked out as a vital few weeks.

It will be a gloomy October international break if they do not get their first Premier League win of the season.
Leicester - who are also without a clean sheet in the league - need to get more points on the board and October at least offers them a realistic chance to do just that.
After today, they are away at Southampton on the 19th before hosting Cooper's former club Nottingham Forest six days.

That loss left Town 19th in League One, with two wins from 10, and added another embarrassment to a campaign that had already included losses at Burton and Cheltenham, a 5-2 home thumping by Bolton, draws with Morecambe, AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons and a humiliating first round League Cup home loss to League Two Newport.
Then-Ipswich boss Paul Cook only lasted another two months, before Kieran McKenna, a coach at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and before that under Jose Mourinho, came in for his first managerial job - and a sporting miracle followed.
McKenna stabilised the club, finishing 11th in 2021-22, before winning successive promotions and doing so in style.
Ipswich only lost four of 46 league games in 2022-23, scoring 101 goals and earning 98 points to go up as runners-up, before doing the same in 2023-24, this time finding the net 92 times on their way to accumulating 96 points in the Championship.
Town have not been in the top flight since 2001-02, but four successive battling draws, against Fulham, Brighton, Southampton and Aston Villa, have given the club’s fans hope and belief they can prove pundits and bookmakers who tipped them for relegation wrong.
Ipswich’s last top-flight win was on 24 April, 2002 with a 1-0 success at Portman Road against Middlesbrough, while their last Premier League victory away from home was all the way back on 2 February, 2002 with a 2-1 victory at Everton. Will the long wait end today?

Liverpool are going to have to play better and become a side that take more of their chances because the teams that they will play coming up will perhaps not give them as many chances as Crystal Palace are.
But overall, Arne Slot will be pleased to go into the international break in the form that they are.

Some encouraging news for Arsenal fans in today’s programme.
Martin Odegaard says he is making good progress with his recovery from an ankle injury, and that it looks ‘better than we were thinking’.
It’s a credit to how well Arsenal are playing that his absence hasn’t been felt quite as harshly as many predicated it might.
Still, they’ll be desperate to get their captain back as quickly as possible.

Everton have lost just three of their last 20 Premier League home games against Newcastle (W12 D5), though two of those defeats have come across their last four such meetings (W2).
Newcastle have won five of their last eight Premier League meetings with Everton (D1 L2), as many as in their previous 24 against them (D6 L13). However, they failed to win either meeting with the Toffees last term (D1 L1).
After losing their first four Premier League matches this season, Everton have picked up four points in their last two games (W1 D1). The Toffees are looking for consecutive wins for the first time since April.
Newcastle United have won 11 points in their six Premier League games this season (W3 D2 L1), their most at this stage of a top-flight season since 2011-12 (12) and Eddie Howe’s best start to a league season since 2010-11 in League One with Bournemouth (11 points).
Everton have won six of their last eight Premier League matches at Goodison Park (L2). Since the first game in this run on April 6, the Toffees have won more home points than any other Premier League side (18).
Only Aston Villa and Manchester City (7) have picked up more points from losing positions in the Premier League this season than Newcastle (5) – the Magpies have only lost two of their last seven games when conceding first (W2 D3), having lost 11 of their previous 13 games when going 1-0 down.
Since Sean Dyche’s first Premier League game in charge of Everton in February 2023, the Toffees have scored a higher percentage of their goals via set pieces than any other club (45.5%, 30/66).
Newcastle’s Bruno Guimarães has won the most fouls in the Premier League this season (24) and since his first start in March 2022 he has won 42 more fouls than anyone else (249).
