But, I'll give Raya credit what a fantastic reflex save.

It is a strange role that Declan Rice is playing so far this season, on the left hand side of that midfield three. Thomas Partey has took the anchor role, the role Rice has played for the majority of his career.
There is no reason he can't go forward, he has the energy and technique to do it. He has looked a little bit lost in that advanced role.

The half-time entertainment at Villa Park has seen some children attempting to hit shots from the touchline towards a circular sheet in the centre of the pitch which has various prizes marked out on it.
A sort of football version of 'Wheel of Fortune' basically. The first two lads to have a go find the signed shirt section with the sort of accuracy that has sadly been missing in front of goal so far in this game.

I love Villa and hope they do well, but I think we all know (Newcastle as a fine example) that getting into the CL before your squad is ready is a recipe for disaster long term. A thin squad will lead to injuries and a lower placed league finish. Very hard to get the speed of progression right. Hope they prove me wrong.

Paul C: We just haven’t got started besides the Saka chance. Poor so far. Villa haven’t really been very good either apart from Watkins' miss but they’ve look a little more lively. What a poor watch.
