    What a goal and what a finish from Pedro. He had no right to score off his left from that distance. No surprise to see Palmer and Estevao linking up, then a clever ball into the feet of Pedro. He creates space for himself and once the space opened up he hit it superbly well.

    As it stands, Real Madrid are sixth. If Barcelona, Inter Milan and one of Paris St-Germain or Newcastle take the lead, Los Blancos will by dropping into the play-offs.
