    FT: Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth winger and goalscorer David Brooks speaking to Sky Sports: "The first half was very entertaining to watch, but in the second half we just needed that kind of performance. It was a very soft and weak performance against Brentford, which is unlike us, so today was about getting back on track. We wanted to give a Bournemouth performance and the second half was a true test of that. They played some good stuff but our back four were phenomenal. The forwards obviously did their part as well, so I'm very happy."

On the eight minutes where Chelsea found a way back in: "Just looking at the penalty I think it is soft, but if I'm Estevao [Willian] then I would want it as well. I can understand why it was given but I also think it was extremely harsh and soft. We did have our chances to pull away ourselves, including myself, so we're disappointed to just get the one point tonight. There are still a lot of positives to take, so we will be going into the next game a lot more confident."

On the challenge that lies ahead in 2026 amid interest in Antoine Semenyo: "We have a lot of talent. Obviously Ant [Semenyo] is involved in that and that is why he is being linked with a move away. If he stays, it is fantastic for us. If he does go, we wish him all the best. It is also a good opportunity for someone else to come in and step up. We bought a few wingers in the summer that are chomping at the bit."

  7. 'It is not the last game Semenyo has played for us'published at 22:00 GMT 30 December 2025

    FT: Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It is happening a lot for us. We are having games we feel we have had a good performance. We played a really good first half, it was a little disappointing to finish the first half 2-2 as we had five or six clear chances.

"We had the clearer chances. It is not a point you think we have survived and found a point here at Stamford Bridge, it was not like this.

"Key moments have not gone to our side. I am very proud of the performance of the players, I saw everyone fighting for their lives. We have to continue with these performances and try not to concede all these goals."

On Semenyo: "He is a massive player for us and he will still be with us. It is not the last game he has played for us."

  9. 'I came here with a lot of trepidation'published at 21:59 GMT 30 December 2025

    FT: Nottingham Forest 0-2 Everton

    Everton

Everton manager David Moyes speaking to Sky Sports: "I was coming here with a lot of trepidation because of the amount of players we're missing.

"We didn't perform great against Burnley and lost two players in that game, while Nottingham Forest played well against Manchester City. They did a lot of good things but I thought we defended brilliantly.

"I thought we missed a couple of opportunities and we played well in the early part of the game, but we gave them encouragement. There were times on the counter attack where we looked a lot more dangerous than we have been recently."

On midfielder James Garner: "Jimmy is a multi-task player, he can do so many jobs. We could have played him at right-back today. Great credit to the boys, the boys coming in hadn't played much football but they have done really, really well tonight.

"We need our main players back to give us the best chance of pushing on, but all credit to our lads."

    FT: West Ham 2-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton midfielder James Milner to Sky Sports: "Ultimately we're disappointed. We came here to win. The goal set us back but we opportunities, the penalty as well. There's a lot to take from the game.

"The boys worked really hard, unfortunately we're just in a period of the season where things don't stick for us."

On West Ham's penalty for a handball on Lewis Dunk: "I felt it was maybe slightly harsh. I thought it hit his chest first. Maybe the freeze frame was after it had moved onto his arm. That's football and VAR really."

On Danny Welbeck's penalty miss: "He's obviously full of confidence. The second one was the right decision as well, it was just a tiny bit high. The amount of goals he's scored for us already, he's been incredible for us, the amount of times he's dug us out this year."

    FT: Burnley 1-3 Newcastle

    Burnley

Burnley's Marcus Edwards, speaking to Sky Sports: "The first 10 minutes cost us the game. We can be happy with the number of chances we created but at this level you have got to finish them.

"We're disappointed with that, we're disappointed not to come away with points. I thought I could have scored so I'm not too happy right now.

"We are always going to feel we've got a chance. We're not the type of people to ever give up. We're looking to put this behind us and looking to the next game and try and get three points."
