Brentford will be training at City's facility tomorrow before going back to London.
Asked if he agreed with Keith Andrews' belief that Abdukodir Khusanov should be sent off, City boss Pep Guardiola said: "Tomorrow at the training ground, I'll invite him to the cafe and we will discuss it."
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Man City boss Pep Guardiola on Rayan Cherki: "Close to the 18-yard box of the opponent he is an exceptional player.
"It was a fantastic goal, a blind guy, a blind woman can realise, it is not necessary to be a journalist or a manager to realise he is a fantastic, fantastic player.
"I saw it many times with Phil ([Foden] this type of goal, with Kevin [De Bruyne] before, so I am happy that it opened the game."
The teams drawn first are at home in the first leg.
The semi-final first legs will be played on the week of 12 January, with the second legs on the week of 2 February.
That was an exciting draw worth waiting ages for.
Newcastle v Manchester City
Can anyone guess the other semi-final now?
Chelsea v Arsenal or Crystal Palace
Time for the draw!!
FT: Newcastle 2-1 Fulham
Fulham manager Marco Silva speaking to Sky Sports: "Of course, we have to praise the attitude and work ethic of our players. It's always very difficult to lose a game, all the hard work we put in.
"Our first half was better than the second, the second was more difficult to set the game. The reaction and the work ethic from the players was there, it's tough to lose.
"It is a very tough place to come, the players were brave until the last minute of the game. Now we need to rest, the game on Monday is very important for us."
One more TV ad break before we get to the semi-final draw.
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Brentford midfielder Mathias Jensen: "We gave it a go.
"We tried to play with a lot of courage. I think we did quite well, actually. Their goals came from a set-piece and a transition from one of ours.
"I don’t think they had too many clear-cut chances. I think we did very well in the first phase or two but maybe lacked a bit of quality in the final third."
FT: Newcastle 2-1 Fulham
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe speaking to Sky Sports: "Really pleased, tough game. It was always going to be. Back on home soil, we controlled the game. We deserved to win."
On Lewis Miley: "Brilliant performance from a talented young player. He hasn't played right-back a lot and had to take on a lot of information this morning so he did really well.
"He's here on merit, he believes that he's more than good enough to play at this level. Not just play but excel and he's taking his game to another level and I think we're seeing that now."
On Yoane Wissa: "Really positive night in lots of ways. Took his goal really well and he'll only get better for the minutes, I thought Alex Murphy coming on did well too so I'm delighted for him and delighted for all the players."
On substitutes: "Sandro's [Tonali] drive from midfield was key, we've got quality players. We controlled the game well because they're a dangerous transition team and we dealt with that well.
"It was important to bounce back from Sunderland, to come back in a positive fashion. We want to be competitive and win trophies - this one we had a great experience last year we want to do that again but it will be tough with the teams left in the competition.
"The will and drive to win was there. We gave everything even in difficult moments. The challenge is to grow and improve."
On Tino Livramento injury: "It doesn't look good. The fact he came off is a worrying sign and we're so stretched in that area it would be a problem."
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Brentford boss Keith Andrews: "We played with a lot of courage.
"I had to make some changes, with Dango going away and a couple of knocks to Thiago and Jordan.
"We had one day prep and one day training, we flipped the system - the players are so intelligent, so adaptable and versatile.
"I was very impressed in terms of how we played; we had to play with courage in how we tried to break them down and control the play.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't quite get that bit of quality in the final third, but I felt we were close on quite a few occasions.
"I'm disappointed, obviously, but I thought we defended brilliantly and I'm very proud of the boys."
FT: Man City 2-0 Brentford
Man City youngster Divine Mukasa told City Studios: "I really enjoyed it. It was my home debut so I wanted to just go out there, enjoy myself and get the win, and that’s what happened.
"It was a great night. I think it sums the club up really.
"Although we attract the best players, we can produce players as well.
"So I think it was a great display out there tonight and showed what the academy can do."
Hopefully being the key word.
The EFL said earlier the draw will be at "approximately 10.35pm" so hopefully not much longer to wait.
FT: Newcastle 2-1 Fulham
