Port Vale are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1995-96.

The League One side have only once previously reached the quarter-final of the competition, doing so in 1953-54.

They are winless in their last 15 matches against Premier League opponents in all competitions, since beating Everton in the 1995-96 FA Cup fourth round.

But, in a season when they are bottom of English football's third tier and staring at relegation to League Two, can Jon Brady's side cause a huge shock to extend their cup run for their supporters?

Fulham keep trying to look for the perfect goal. They're trying to be to intricate.

And sometimes you just need to get it out of your feet and smash it into the box or have a shot. Something that you don't need to spend ages obsessing over.

That's that. A controversial moment as Rodrigo Muniz's goal was disallowed but Fulham largely on top.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis tracks the ball from the right-hand side and denies Rodrigo Muniz getting a foot to it first. Good defending.

Fulham have had 11 shots so far - their joint-most in a first half without scoring across all competitions this season (also 11 v Sunderland in November).

Southampton, meanwhile, have not had a shot on target.

The worry for me is when Fulham lose the ball, just how quick Southampton break and break with quality.

Fulham have had 11 shots and four on target to Southampton's two shots.

Sort of doesn't feel like it's been that one sided but Fulham have been the more dominant in the last 10 minutes or so.

There are three changes for Port Vale from the side who beat Bristol City 1-0 after 120 minutes in midweek.

Tyler Magloire, Jordan Shipley and Martin Sherif are replaced by Dajaune Brown, Funso Ojo and Kyle John.

I'm worried for Fulham because that midfield of Reed, Cairney and Smith-Rowe - they're not great at running back.

Leo Scienza has had a few chances now and he gets another with 10 minutes to go before the break.

It's a difficult one but he's in space at the back post when James Bree's ball comes across. He tries to hit it on the volley but it goes miles wide.

There was a quick VAR check for a handball after that corner but all clear.

Fulham have another one and Rodrigo Muniz misses the target before Samuel Chukwueze also can't find the net.

Fulham have a corner and Joachim Andersen is at the back post but a bit of good defending from Southampton prevents it finding the back of the net.

It seems the ball was rolling before the keeper took the goal kick.

The referee pointed to his whistle to indicate that he had blown it before the ball nestles in the back of the net.

A tough one that, how many times do we see a keeper take a goal kick quickly like that where the ball is only just 'not rolling'?

Scienza should have scored - when you play against these top teams, you have to take your chances.

That will be the best chance of the game.

That was a huge chance after Southampton had perhaps got a bit lucky at the other end with the goal being ruled out.

By the way VAR is in operation here but no sign of an intervention from it so far.

How has he not scored that?!

Southampton get the ball up the pitch from a Fulham corner and Leo Scienza just keeps running.

He beats his man but places the effort wide! What a miss.
