Who introduces an entirely new system and picks players out of position in a team that is in freefall? Albion are now in big trouble through a succession of strange appointments, and that has to be the responsibility of Andrew Nestor who also manages player recruitment.

    Mark, Buckinghamshire

Only Wednesday have lost more games than the Baggies. Last time we lost to Norwich at home by at least four goals we were relegated. Big, big job for Ramsay.

WBA are in big trouble, we are in free fall at the moment!

    WBA 0-5 Norwich

It's been a tough season for West Brom so far but tonight became a second-half shocker and revolt was in the stands.

A total lack of urgency in defence helped Norwich pile on five goals and send Baggies to their worst home defeat in all the years they've played in the second tier.

A fourth-straight defeat leaves them three points above the drop zone.

Any leeway that new head coach Eric Ramsay may have been hoping for has been blown away after just two games.

But at least he has time on his side and West Brom fans will hope this is the lowest point of the season.

  3. Result in League Onepublished at 22:03 GMT 20 January

    Stevenage 0-0 Bolton

In the one League One game this evening, it's finished goalless between Stevenage and Bolton.

It's a result that keeps both clubs' play-off hopes very much alive, with Stevenage a point outside the top six but with two games in hand, while Bolton, in fifth, now have a four point buffer to the sides below them.

  4. 'Leicester lucky to get a point'published at 22:01 GMT 20 January

    FT: Wrexham 1-1 Leicester

    Michael Appleton
Former Leicester assistant manager on BBC Radio Leicester

It was very, very comfortable for Wrexham for long periods of the game and it looked like there was no way for Leicester to come back into it, but they found a way.

With the way this game went, that Oxford game can't come quick enough.

You could see from the reaction from the goal, Leicester were more aggressive, passing the ball forward and looking to win a game which they probably didn't deserve to.

When the dust settles they'll realise how lucky they are to get a point from this game.

  5. 'A proper performance from Hull'published at 22:00 GMT 20 January

    FT: Preston 0-3 Hull City

    Peter Swan
Former Hull City player on BBC Radio Humberside

What a game of football, a mature game of football. They've all done their jobs.

Fourth in the league now with a proper performance tonight.

Preston did their best but we were just comfortable tonight. We didn't just hoof the ball out, we played the ball out and the squeezing was fantastic.

It's something to take into Saturday.

    Wrexham 1-1 Leicester

A point apiece from a game which never really hit the high spots.

Lewis O'Brien gave Wrexham the lead just after the hour mark as Jakub Stolarczyk failed to hold a cross.

That looked like being the pivotal moment until Jannik Vestergaard got on the end of a Caleb Okoli knock down to slot home in the 90th minute.

Wrexham were up to seventh place until that late equaliser and for now they just cannot bridge that gap to the top six.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:55 GMT 20 January

    Wrexham 1-1 Leicester

Wrexham's Callum Doyle is carded for a foul.

We are deep into the five minutes of stoppage time we have had added on.

  8. 'It came from nothing'published at 21:52 GMT 20 January

    Wrexham 1-1 Leicester

    Michael Appleton
Former Leicester assistant manager on BBC Radio Leicester

    It came from nothing.

Go and get a winner. Don't be happy and settle for a point.

We've got a game on our hands all of a sudden.

GOAL Wrexham 1-1 Leicesterpublished at 21:51 GMT 20 January

    Jannik Vestergaard (90 mins)

    Leicester doing a Wrexham!

Caleb Okoli nods down a free-kick and Jannik Vestergaard is cool with his first touch before slotting home.

  10. 'It wasn't pretty but job done'published at 21:49 GMT 20 January

    FT: Coventry 2-1 Millwall

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

It's all about getting the job done especially at this stage of the season. Getting the win over Leicester then being at home again to back it up. It wasn't pretty at times, especially in these conditions.

Coventry were too open at times but they just about edged it.

Job done but I had my heart in my mouth a few times.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:45 GMT 20 January

    Preston 0-3 Hull City

Very, very impressive from Hull City with goals from Liam Millar, Akin Famewo and top-scorer Oli McBurnie.

It might have been more with McBurnie having an effort saved and Millar dragging an effort wide as the Tigers move up to fourth place.

Milutin Osmajic then needlessly got himself sent of for headbutting John Lundstram and will serve another lengthy suspension while there were red cards for coaching members of both clubs as it all kicked off on the touchline - we may not have heard the last of that.

It is a third successive home defeat for Preston and without scoring.

It does get any easier for the Lilywhites with trips to Middlesbrough and Ipswich on the way.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:43 GMT 20 January

    Charlton 1-2 Derby

Derby hold on with 10 men and that's a big win for the Rams. A seventh away victory of the season for John Eustace's side and their first back-to-back wins since November.

All of a sudden, Derby are within two points of the play-off places.

Charlton remain in a relegation scrap and are just four points clear of the drop zone.

    Charlton 1-2 Derby

Stand-in Derby keeper Richard O'Donnell pushes it clear and Charlton come again... but the Addicks give away another free-kick on the edge of the Rams area and that might just be that. Seconds remaining.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:43 GMT 20 January

    Oxford 0-0 QPR

A lack of quality at the Kassam and another stalemate for new Oxford boss Matt Bloomfield.

Stan Mills should have scored from close range for Oxford and QPR took until stoppage time to nicking the game but Daniel Bennie couldn't turn in a cross from the right.

Relief for Derby as they win a free-kick deep in their own half and can run down the clock a bit more...

  16. RED CARDpublished at 21:41 GMT 20 January

    Preston 0-3 Hull City

Milutin Osmajic is just back from a 10-game ban and now he headbutts John Lundstram off the ball.

What is he thinking? It is a straight red card from referee Stephen Martin.

The Preston man just keeps making headlines for the wrong reasons.

There are also red cards for a member of each side's coaching staff as it all kicks off on the touchline.

QPR so close to stealing the game!

Wicked cross from the right, Daniel Bennie sliding in but can't find a touch to turn it home!

Nathan Jones is waving his Charlton side forward. Two minutes of stoppages to play. Can Derby cling on with 10 men? Huge moments at both ends of the table here.

    Ipswich 2-0 Bristol City

A comfortable night for Ipswich at Portman Road as they cruise into the top two.

Jack Clarke at the double and that's five straight wins on home soil for the Tractor Boys, who are looking very strong in their push for automatic promotion.

Bristol City's play-off hopes suffer another blow.

    Coventry 2-1 Millwall

Coventry hold on for a big three points and secure back-to-back wins for the first time since the end of November.

Frank Lampard's side take another big step towards the Premier League.

Millwall's five-game unbeaten run comes to an end and that's now six games against fellow top-six sides without a win this season (D2 L4).
