It's been a great afternoon for Coventry who extend the gap at the top to eight points with Middlesbrough not in action until tomorrow.

Millwall are up to third thanks to their win at Hull earlier today.

Ipswich miss the chance to go second after they were held by Leicester, who go above Oxford on goal difference but remain in the drop zone.

West Brom are out of the bottom three after their 1-1 draw at Sheffield United.

Derby's win over Sheffield Wednesday moves them within three points of the top six.

  3. 'It's a great point'published at 17:05 GMT 7 March

    FT: Ipswich 1-1 Leicester

    Matt Heath
Former Foxes defender on BBC Radio Leicester

It was an end-to-end first half but we didn't look like scoring in the second. That being said how many times have we said Leicester have rolled over for the opposition?

They didn't make it easy for Ipswich today. Dara O'Shea had the majority of their chances, that says everything and the staff need to get that right.

It's a great point and I would have taken that at the start of the game.

Every single point matters and for us to take a point here from Ipswich, who have been tremendous here, I can't state how important that is.

The whole team worked hard and really put an effort in.

  4. 'Wasn't quite good enough from Ipswich'published at 17:03 GMT 7 March

    FT: Ipswich 1-1 Leicester

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

We've done as well as we could in the second half. Not the result we wanted but if there was going to be a winner it would have been us.

Leicester defended well but I feel we should have taken advantage. There was a lot of pace about us.

For me it's an ok performance but where we went wrong was that we gave Leicester a good opening 15 minutes of the game. That was the little opportunity we gave them and they took it.

We did as well as we did but it wasn't quite good enough.

    Bristol City 0-2 Coventry

Not a vintage performance by Coventry but it does not matter at this stage of the season and it's another big three points for Frank Lampard's side.

Five wins in a row now for the Sky Blues who move eight points clear at the top in an action-filled encounter at Ashton Gate.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto nodded the visitors in front against the run of play before Joel Latibeaudiere saw red for pulling down Emil Riis when clean through.

But Haji Wright doubled Coventry's lead on the stroke of half-time and Adam Randell was then sent off for a second yellow in the second half for the Robins.

Bristol City pushed hard but couldn't find the breakthrough and they remain seven points adrift of the play-off places.

  6. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 GMT 7 March

    Sheff Utd 1-1 West Brom

All over at Bramall Lane and West Brom have rescued a point.

And what a way to do it. George Campbell scored both goals, first by putting the ball in his own net for Sheffield United's opener and again late on with a goal from long range to ensure his side did not go home empty handed.

That result means West Brom finish outside the bottom three, having spent most of the afternoon in the Championship relegation places.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:57 GMT 7 March

    Bristol City 0-2 Coventry

    What a save, Carl Rushworth!

The Coventry keeper denies Scott Twine an almost certain goal for Bristol City with a fine save to stop a powerful effort that looked to be heading into the top corner.

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 GMT 7 March

    Swansea 2-0 Stoke

All over and Swansea see out the win that takes them above Stoke in the Championship table.

Championship top scorer Zan Vipotnik bags his 17th league goal of the season and Liam Cullen scores a long-range wondergoal from almost halfway to round out a comfortable win against the Potters who had Sorba Thomas sent off just before half-time.

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 GMT 7 March

    Charlton 1-0 Birmingham

The full-time whistle sounds and Charlton pick up a big three points through substitute Charlie Kelman's brilliant finish.

The American had only just been introduced from the bench before netting his fifth goal of the season and his first in nine matches to secure the win at The Valley.

Birmingham's play-off hopes are all but done.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:54 GMT 7 March

    Ipswich 1-1 Leicester

Leicester survive an Ipswich onslaught to hold on for a point at Portman Road.

Town must be wondering quite how they haven't won this game as their automatic promotion hopes take a slight hit.

Will this prove to be an important point for the Foxes? It's now 10 games without a win and 30 games without a clean sheet.

Gary Rowett certainly still has a lot of work to do to get Leicester out of the mess they are in.

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:54 GMT 7 March

    Ipswich 1-1 Leicester

Big shout for a penalty at Portman Road as Ipswich's Cedric Kipre goes down under a challenge from Hamza Choudhury.

The ref says no and then books Kipre for his protests.

    All happening late on here.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:53 GMT 7 March

    Derby 2-1 Sheff Wed

Derby celebrate scoringImage source, Getty Images

Derby see out the win with a straight-forward second half performance against the Championship's bottom team.

Ben Brereton Diaz's opener for the hosts was cancelled out by a Jerry Yates header, before Matt Clarke headed in for the hosts right on the stroke of half time to retake the lead.

And that was the way it stayed as John Eustace can celebrate the three points in his 50th match as Derby boss.

  13. goal

GOAL: Swansea 2-0 Stokepublished at 16:53 GMT 7 March

    Liam Cullen (90+2 mins)

Swansea put the icing on the cake and finally get a second against 10-man Stoke.

Liam Cullen scores a wondergoal as he scores from just past halfway having spotted Potters keeper Tommy Simkin off his line.

  14. CLOSE!published at 16:53 GMT 7 March

    Charlton 1-0 Birmingham

Charlton come close to wrapping it up in added time as substitute Miles Leaburn fires wide.

The Addicks are on the cusp of picking up a vital three points.

  15. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:53 GMT 7 March

    Bristol City 0-2 Coventry

Coventry almost seal it again... first Brandon Thomas-Asante is well denied by Robins keeper Radek Vitek before Ellis Simms is also thwarted.

    Into seven added minutes.

  16. Postpublished at 16:51 GMT 7 March

    Ipswich 1-1 Leicester

Ipswich's Leif Davis whips in a cross for Chuba Akpom who fires in a shot but Ben Nelson makes a vital block.

How have Town not won this game?

  19. Postpublished at 16:49 GMT 7 March

Jay Dasilva with the chance to seal it for Coventry as he takes aim from the edge of the area but drags it well wide of the mark.

  20. INJURY TIMEpublished at 16:48 GMT 7 March

    Ipswich 1-1 Leicester

Five minutes added on at Portman Road. Can Ipswich find a late, late winner?
