What a wonderful watch! City gets away with it yet again. Undoubtably, they won’t get away with that kind of performance elsewhere.

    Rashida - London

Fulham deserved a point today and it's a shame they won't get one.

It's been coming and we said about Bruno Guimaraes, how good he is and what a finish.

Anthony Gordon absolutely roasts Pedro Porro down the left-hand side of the pitch. Great little touch by Nick Woltemade and what a finish. Side foot, far corner. Brilliant finish.

    FT: Fulham 4-5 Man City

Of course Manchester City will be disappointed with some of the goals conceded tonight and many of you will say you can't win a title defending that way.

But ultimately they have now won back-to-back matches in that fashion. Grinding out wins when not at your best.

Is that not also the characteristic of a title-winning team?

  13. '100 club is a nice thing to be in'published at 21:40 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Fulham 4-5 Man City

    Manchester City

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland speaking to Sky Sports:

"I think if you're sitting at home now you enjoyed that game. It was a crazy game, nine goals is a lot. In the end, we win and we're happy but it's not the best win."

On 100 league goals: "It's huge and I'm really proud. Of course it's a massive thing, 100 club is a nice thing to be in and I'm happy.

"I knew about it, that's what I tried to do. I try to help the team scoring goals, that's my job.

"Every game is a different game, you can't think of the game that's been you need to focus on what's ahead. The reality is we lost against Newcastle and Leverkusen but now we have two in a row and we have to keep going. It's a tough schedule. Many games now in the next month. Game by game and recover for the next one.

Do you expect to score in every game? "I don't want to say those words but when you're a striker for Man City you should be delivering great numbers. That's my job, people should criticise me if I don't and that's normally what they do. I should deliver."

On Alan Shearer record: "I know about it but I don't think too much about it."

On closing the gap on Arsenal: "It's important, Arsenal came here and won here. Fulham are a great team but we shouldn't think too much about Arsenal. We should focus on ourselves, today wasn't good enough and we know this. We need to improve as a team and that's what we'll do."

  18. 'Man City have to sort out their defence'published at 21:36 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Fulham 4-5 Man City

    Clinton Morrison
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

There's a problem with Man City defensively. I've said it all season that we know they can score goals, no bother with them the way they're going forward but defensively thy have to be better.

Josko Gvardiol just made a clearance and helped his team to three points, and at the end of the season that could be a big three points.

They need to be better defensively because you'd never see Arsenal be 5-1 up and end like that, so they have to sort that out.

Winning when you’ve conceded and not playing well? Sign of champions.

Noah, for the third and final time. Over and out

City are surviving on pure luck the last few weeks. 2 draws have turned into 2 wins. Fair play to them for squeezing through the narrowest of gaps.
