  1. 'Difficult but it was a good win in the end'published at 22:37 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Bournemouth 0-1 Everton

    Everton

More from Everton match winner Jack Grealish speaking to Sky Sports: "I feel like every time you come here, no matter what team and what manager, I feel like it is always so hard, even when I was at City. Someone told me before the game that Everton don't have the best record here. I don't think they've ever won here, so it was nice.

"It was a difficult game against a really good side, very aggressive, always on the front foot, so to get the win, yeah, we're really happy.

"We're doing well. The last game was... We've had a few games like that at home where we've conceded quite early and flopped a bit for the rest of the game. We're in the top half of the league now.

"I know we got pumped last game but we have still won three of the last four. We have another tough game on Saturday then two really, really tough games against first and second. If someone says they are not looking at the table, they are lying, because you are. Three points off the top four now, so take each game as it comes and fingers crossed."

  2. 'A beautiful goal'published at 22:35 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Newcastle 2-2 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham defender Cristian Romero speaking to Sky Sports: "The first goal was very important. In the last three or four games the team weren't good enough. It has been a difficult time but especially in this game I love the mentality."

On his second goal: "Every day with Leo Messi in the national team I watch him and it is a beautiful goal."

  3. 'I believed we could score more'published at 22:33 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Fulham 4-5 Man City

    Fulham

Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a crazy game. I like the spirit of the team, almost coming back. Difficult one to take but we keep our heads up.

"I believed, we believed we could score the next goals. But we have to move on from it."

What did manager say when coming on? "Samuel do your thing, just do your thing, enjoy the game.

"A good feeling to score two goals but not a good feeling losing. It doesn't mean a lot right now.

"I'm finding myself in this team, the coach believes in me and I have to give my team mates credit too.

"We didn't come away with the three points but we keep working and we'll give everything to get the next three points."

  4. 'Maybe we just caught Bournemouth at the right time'published at 22:29 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Bournemouth 0-1 Everton

    Everton

Everton boss David Moyes speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a brilliant effort considering what we had available to us. We were really concerned before the game, especially coming to Bournemouth because our record here has never been great. So to get a win here was really good. Maybe we just caught Bournemouth at the right time as well.

"I knew if we didn't concede we would have a great chance of winning the game, so the plan was to make sure that we didn't concede. We did it at Old Trafford last week and we've done it again tonight. But look, we had other moments where we could have maybe scored another goal or two and we didn't give them too many opportunities.

"It was a tight game, it could have maybe gone Bournemouth's way as well. I thought the first goal was always going to be the crucial goal."

On another game with makeshift defensive solutions: "The big thing was O'Brien going into centre half and he has played well. He's got good competition, or he's had to get rid of the competition with Keane's form so far and even with Branthwaite. We are hoping we can get back to a full squad but I have to say that the boys at the back did a great job when required."

On being three points off the top four: "Three wins out of four. We've been away at Old Trafford and now here at Bournemouth, so that is really positive. We want to keep going. I'd really like to try to challenge the top boys and keep ourselves near Europe if I can, but we are always looking over our shoulder because the teams below are never that far away."

  5. 'Romero showed what a world class defender he is'published at 22:27 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Newcastle 2-2 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham defender Kevin Danso speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a tough match, always difficult to come to St James' Park and it's always tough away from home. We showed the mentality that we had been working on throughout the season."

On Romero's first equaliser: "Gave us a lot of momentum. He always leads by example. Scored two very important goals, the second one was a very nice goal. He just showed again today what a world class defender he is."

"We're just going to keep pushing on. We just have to keep that mentality.

On the penalty decision: "It's tough. It feels like some weeks a ref will give it and some weeks they won't. We just have to focus and do exactly what we did today."

  6. 'The fans wanted more from me and I gave it to them'published at 22:25 GMT 2 December 2025

Everton forward Jack Grealish speaking to Sky Sports: "In the first half it was an even game. We had good bits of play but we didn't really threaten the goal much. Then in the second half we got the goal and then just defended after that. It was difficult but it was a good win in the end."

On his goal: "I have scored two goals now this season, one was a tackle and one was a deflection, but I got hammered for years for not scoring so I am taking both of the goals. It's good to be contributing. It's a brilliant team.

"I love the manager to pieces. I have only known him for a few months and I can't speak highly enough of him as a person and how he makes me feel. How he makes me want to go there and play for him, so credit to him.

On kissing the badge for his goal celebration: "All the teams I've played on loan for, even at Notts County, I've was so lucky to have a good connection with the fanbase. Aston Villa was brilliant, obviously I'm an Aston Villa fan. I go to City and I have such a good connection there, and now here too. I'm lucky that I've had such great clubs and fanbases, and this is another one. They have been so good to me.

"Today I think at the start of the second half they wanted more from me. I don't think I played that well. And then Pickers came up to me and said, "That was your worst game and you got the winner." They were singing my name before the goal, so they wanted more from me and I gave it to them."

The worst overhead kick in the world gets Spurs justice. Love it.

  8. 'Spurs weren't good but they kept going'published at 22:22 GMT 2 December 2025

    FT: Newcastle 2-2 Tottenham

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former Newcastle and Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at St James' Park

I just didn't think Tottenham were good in all parts of the game, whether offensively or defensively. They didn't really want to pass.

Newcastle seemed to drive the game much more than Spurs. When Bruno Guimaraes came on and scored I thought they were going to go on win.

Then you have to give Spurs credit, they didn't give up, they kept on going and the captain comes up with two goals.

It's a really strange game from a Spurs points of view and Thomas Frank won't have been happy with that display.

  9. 'I'm not bad at it'published at 22:21 GMT 2 December 2025

    Manchester City

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland speaking to Match of the Day: "[It was] chaotic. Nine goals in a game is too much. If you're watching this game at home, it should be match of the day as you said! It was a crazy game."

On what he was thinking at 5-1: "I thought of scoring the sixth - like I always do. I think at 5-2 or 5-3 I was close to scoring and then they went and made it 5-3 so that's football, that's the beauty of football. That's why we love the game."

On his 100 Premier League goals: "Proud moment. 100 club is a huge thing. To do it this quickly is amazing. I'm proud, I'm happy.

"I've said it many times - a striker for City should score a lot of goals. That's my job, that's what I try to do. And I'm not bad at it!

"I should have had a hat-trick, I had a few chances. I need to practice."

On whether he has another hundred goals in him: "Why not?"

This would definitely give Thomas Frank some credit with the fans with the way they have come back. But Newcastle should've run away with it in the first half.
