  1. Relief for Thomas Frankpublished at 20:30 GMT 2 December 2025

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

    Ciaran Kelly
BBC Sport reporter at St James' Park

Mohammed Kudus had Thomas Frank wincing with his hands on his head as he attempted a couple of keepy uppies deep in his own half. Aggressive Newcastle United won the ball back, but the Tottenham manager looked understandably relieved it didn't come to anything.

When Spurs qualified for the Champions League, I knew they would be in trouble this year. You don't finish near the bottom of the table and then play a load of extra matches the next year, and expect a big improvement.

Already a better start for Spurs tonight. They're not 2-0 down for starters.

  4. 'Haaland is difficult to stop'published at 20:26 GMT 2 December 2025

    HT: Fulham 1-3 Man City

    Jonathan Woodgate
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Erling Haaland is an outstanding world-class striker. I wouldn't want to get in a wrestle with him.

You have to deal with him as a two, not just a one.

It's difficult, especially when you have the service behind him threading balls in. He's so quick. He's so powerful. He's difficult to stop.

  5. Postpublished at 20:26 GMT 2 December 2025

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

It's like a basketball game at St James' Park. Destiny Udogie powers forward down the left and wins a corner for his side.

It's flicked on by a Newcastle head and Spurs have another chance from the other side.

    Nothing silly and all that.

  7. Postpublished at 20:24 GMT 2 December 2025

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

Pedro Porro does so well to take the ball off Harvey Barnes but decides to try and backheel his way out of trouble deep in his own half.

Barnes pounces on the ball but the attack comes to nothing.

  8. 'Foden's back to his best'published at 20:23 GMT 2 December 2025

    HT: Fulham 1-3 Man City

    Izzy Christiansen
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Phil Foden looks like he's back to his absolute best and you've got to remember he's still only young.

Hitting goals like that, clean, tidy finishes. He's one of the best in the Premier League without a doubt on his day, and you see it there.

    Jamie Carragher
Former Liverpool defender on Sky Sports

When you are as aggressive as Newcastle are, playing that man to man system, you can get caught out at the other end.

  10. Postpublished at 20:21 GMT 2 December 2025

    HT: Fulham 1-3 Man City

That goal is frustrating for City fans. They watched their side capitulate in the second half against Leeds on Saturday.

They got away with that one but they won't want to endure the same sort of evening tonight.

Now Spurs burst forward through Brennan Johnson. He looks to find Mohammed Kudus at the far post but Lewis Hall does enough.

Why are Spurs fans surprised by Frank’s style of play? Had you not watched Brentford for the last few years. Set plays, long throws, long balls. Functional football

  13. 'A really good spot from the officials'published at 20:20 GMT 2 December 2025

    HT: Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on Sky Sports

Kroupi is onside from the initial cross, but there is a little touch from Adli, off his heel. From that touch Kroupi is offside. It's a really good spot from the officials and a let off for Everton.

  14. Postpublished at 20:19 GMT 2 December 2025

    Newcastle 0-0 Tottenham

Newcastle look really bright already. Jacob Murphy drives a ball in towards the head of Nick Woltemade and the big German can't get decent contact on it.

    Corner for Newcastle, though.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:19 GMT 2 December 2025

    Fulham 1-3 Man City

Manchester City cruising until that late header from Emile Smith-Rowe.

That could just make the second half interesting.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:19 GMT 2 December 2025

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

Correct decision to rule the goal out and that is the final action of a first half lacking entertainment.

  17. 'A bit of hope'published at 20:18 GMT 2 December 2025

    Fulham 1-3 Man City

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on Sky Sports

The header is absolutely sensational from [Emile] Smith-Rowe. He just peels out and attacks the ball.

There's only one place he can score - the far corner.

The connection is absolutely perfect. [Gianluigi] Donnarumma can't save that.

A bit of hope for Fulham.

    GOAL - Fulham 1-3 Man Citypublished at 20:16 GMT 2 December 2025

    Emile Smith-Rowe (45+2 mins)

    Hello!

Well I said earlier Emile Smith-Rowe looked like Fulham's biggest threat and it's a slick cut-back from Harry Wilson to find the forward, who heads home just before half-time.
