Big, important save from Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Nice movement around the area by Monaco and Maghnes Akliouche gets a shot away but it's a brilliant reaction save from the big Italian and Ruben Dias ensures the rebound goes behind for a corner.

Gyokeres may not score tonight, but he's tracking back effectively. Not exciting or what we signed him for, but he really looks like part of the team tonight. Keep it up and the goals will flow.

David Raya might be the second best passer on the pitch tonight behind Odegaard.

    Monaco 1-2 Man City

Rodri is down following a clash with Jordan Teze.

Manchester City fans breathe a sigh of relief as he gets up and looks fine to continue. Just a clatter in the ribs, I think.

    Monaco 1-2 Man City

Monaco win a corner after John Stones blocks the cross.

The hosts take it short before a decent ball is looped to the back post but Folarin Balogun can't make a decent connection with the ball.

    Really big chance.

    Barcelona 1-1 Paris St-Germain

Bradley Barcola had a couple of good chances in the first half and the Paris St-Germain forward is causing Barcelona problems again.

He forces a save from Wojciech Szczesny after breezing past Gerard Martin and a few seconds later, Achraf Hakimi is past Martin and sees his shot blocked.

Strong start to the second half from the injury-hit visitors.

The finishing again lets down Arsenal as they work the ball nicely to Leandro Trossard on the left side of the box but he sends a first-time strike well wide.

  12. Gatti levels for Juvepublished at 21:11 BST 1 October 2025

    Villarreal 1-1 Juventus

Federico Gatti has brought Juventus level at Villarreal - with an overhead kick!

It's another goal from a long throw this season but this has to be one of the most spectacular.

Launched into the box, flicked on by Lloyd Kelly and it's Gatti with the acrobatic effort. Arnau Tenas should do better in the Villarreal goal but when someone's scored an overhead kick, you can brush past that...

    Arsenal 1-0 Olympiacos

Arsenal have had 11 attempts on goal but just two on target. The football has been superb at times but their finishing could be better.

As Liverpool found out last season, winning games comfortably in the league stage means nothing. It’s when we get to the knockouts that we’ll find out if Arsenal can push on and compete with the 'big boys'. Personally, I think they’ll continue to fall at the final hurdle.

  15. 'City have to be careful'published at 21:09 BST 1 October 2025

    Monaco 1-2 Man City

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on MOTD: UEFA Champions League

Monaco have not had very much of the ball so far (29% possession) but when they have had it, they have looked dangerous.

They have put in some good crosses and have made some good runs from out wide, and it is their speed that is causing their threat, without always finding the right final ball.

So, City have to be careful. They have not been sloppy but Monaco have a set style based on the transition, where they sit in then burst forward on the break, launching quick attacks. They are going to keep doing that in the second half too.

You can hear more from Onuoha on MOTD: Uefa Champions League at 22:40 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website and app.
