He takes the ball so cleanly, sits the goalkeeper down, but he looks too confident and it is too easy, He puts the ball well over the bar and it is really poor.
Wrexham 0-0 Ipswich
Big chance for Chuba Akpom as the ball comes to him at the far post but he doesn't get the direction he wants on his header and it goes across the face of goal and wide.

The pass was on the button, as is the control. Estevao just couldn't do it. He gets it so wrong. It should have been a simple tap-in.

What a miss by Estêvão. He'd done all the hard work - brought a high ball into the box under control, before rounding the goalkeeper but then sends his shot over the bar with the goal at his mercy.
No idea how he missed that.

Aside from that early chance for Smith, after just 47 seconds, this has been a low key start to proceedings.
Ipswich are having plenty of the ball though, despite making 10 changes from their win at Derby last time out.
Both sides have some real talent on the bench too.

Good defending from Liam Delap coming back for the corner.

After Wrexham's early chance Ipswich have started to take control of matters now and George Hirst has got into a couple of good positions, the latest sees him run onto a low ball into the box but he completely misses his shot. A let off for Wrexham.

Yes, Liam Rosenior got sacked when Hull City finished seventh. We were in the top six when the transfer window closed and he strengthened the team. It was a bore fest at home. Seventh place or 21st place finish. No difference.

Now Chelsea have a chance as Moisés Caicedo feeds Pedro Neto inside the box, he turns sharply to work a bit of space but then fires over.
