    Joe Westley

Immediately after their first threat on goal, Dundee take the lead.

Cameron Cosgreve is so often the Dark Blues' main threat and the winger's cross finds the outstretched toe of Joe Westley.

And it trickles off the inside of the far post for the forward's third goal of the season.

  2. Postpublished at 15:11 BST 2 May

    Dundee 0-0 St Mirren

It is St Mirren doing most of the pressing at Dens Park.

However, the final ball has been missing so far for the visitors and it is the man in the mask for Dundee who has the first effort on target.

Yan Dhanda, wearing a face protection, nutmegs his marker, but the midfielder's low drive from the edge of the penalty area is straight at the goalkeeper.

  3. Postpublished at 15:11 BST 2 May

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

An awkward cross from Zac Sapsford forces Kilmarnock goalkeeper Max Stryjek to palm wide for a corner.

United mount an attack and Will Ferry's cutback is turned over by Sapsford.

An incredibly open game so far at Rugby Park.

  4. goal

GOAL East Kilbride 1-0 Clydepublished at 15:10 BST 2 May

    John Robertson

An early lead for East Kilbride, who will be promoted to League 1 as champions with a win today.

It would take quite the swing in goal difference for Spartans to catch them, even before that opening goal.

  5. Postpublished at 15:09 BST 2 May

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

United keeper Dave Richards pushes over Tom Lowery's header for Kilmarnock following Greg Kiltie's industry on the left.

Two big chances in this one so far - one at each end.

  6. Postpublished at 15:08 BST 2 May

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

Zac Sapsford tests Max Stryjek after Max Watters lays off Will Ferry's low cross.

Either side of the Kilmarnock goalkeeper, that's a goal.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee United

Sportsound commentator Andrew Petrie has just revealed that Scotland head coach Steve Clarke is back at Rugby Park this afternoon.

Watching Findlay Curtis, you'd imagine. The young winger is playing at right-back today.

  9. Postpublished at 15:02 BST 2 May

    Falkirk 0-0 Motherwell

Falkirk work the ball forward from kick-off and Calvin Miller has a very early pop at goal, but it's an easy catch for Calum Ward in the Motherwell goal.

If you craved entertainment, this fixture would be one you wouldn't want to miss. They both approach the game on the front foot and both have delivered consistent results in doing so.

Curiously, Falkirk have had Motherwell's measure when no other side really has. Motivation for the Steelmen as they seek to grasp a European place.

Falkirk's chances of that seem a long shot but they can still aim for Hibernian in fifth to continue their incredible campaign since promotion.

  12. Form & Ferry encourage Goodwinpublished at 14:55 BST 2 May

    Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd (15:00)

Dundee United manager JIm GoodwinImage source, SNS

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "The pressure has been off us for a number of weeks now but it's testament to the players and their character and their professionalism that they've managed to maintain the high standards.

"We've been on a decent run of form of late. We've got a little bit of momentum and there's always personal pride at stake.

"We want to try and finish this season off as positively as possible. We want to try and win the next four games. We know how difficult this particular fixture is. I think it's 10 years or so since Dundee United have managed to win a game down here.

"Will Ferry's been in great form. He's been a terrific signing for us over the last couple of years. He's been Mr Consistent. He's been great for us in both elements of the game - defensively really solid but getting forward he's been a big outlet for us, lots of assists.

"Of course, In the last few games he's started to add goals to his game so hopefully he can add to that rich vein of form between now and the end of the season."

  13. McCann keen to 'reinforce' home strengthpublished at 14:52 BST 2 May

    Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd (15:00)

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann tells BBC Scotland: "It's a big afternoon. We've been really strong at home since I've come in.

"We've had some brilliant performances, some great results and today gives us a chance to really reinforce that home form to the teams we're playing against.

"We know how hard a game it's going to be. I do believe that they'll feel they're in for a tough one today and hopefully we can make that a realistic thing.

"There's a belief in the boys. They've got a belief in themselves and if they perform to the levels we expect and we know they're capable of, then there's a good chance we can get three points.

"As ever, if you don't do that, it's a very difficult afternoon."

McCann also confirmed winger Findlay Curtis will slot in as an auxiliary right-back in Jamie Brandon's absence.

  14. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 2 May

    Dundee v St Mirren (15:00)

Over their past 10 Premiership matches, St Mirren have picked up just seven points, the fewest of any side in the league.

They'll need to improve that rate if they want to drag themselves away from potential relegation danger, but the Paisley side have only won one of their past six league meetings with Dundee.

A rare win in this fixture for the Buddies would move them level on points with their hosts. It's a big one.

  15. 'Massive game' for 'brave' Buddies - McLeishpublished at 14:45 BST 2 May

    Dundee v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren interim manager Craig McLeish reveals that Liam Donnelly had a setback in training on Friday as the midfielder looked poised to return from injury, while full-back Declan John had been battling with a hernia problem that "caught up with him".

"We've got a squad for a reason and we have more than enough in the starting group to come here and do what we need to do," he tells BBC Scotland.

"We can be flexible. We can flirt between a five or a four [at the back]. It is what we do in and out of possession that is more important.

"It is still in our hands, but we are running out of games. We know the situation we are in, but I still feel we are playing well with confidence and bravery.

"It is a massive game, we know that."

  16. Result 'not season-defining' - Pressleypublished at 14:43 BST 2 May

    Dundee v St Mirren (15:00)

Dundee head coach Steven Pressley tells BBC Scotland: "This group of players have responded again and again during what has been a very challenging season and I am very proud of them in that way.

"I want us to get back to playing what I consider is our way. If we do that, that's all I can ask.

"In order to do that we need to be playing Drey Wright at left full-back, so I chose to push Ryan Astley in one and bring in Brad Halliday. He is a player who likes to get forward and can make things happen from the right-back position."

Pressley has been impressed with the way Craig McLeish has changed St Mirren as interim manager as the sides battle to avoid relegation and adds: "It is an enormous game in that respect. But it is not season-defining."

You know you are at the business end of the campaign when both managers are openly talking about the enormity of the game.

That came through loud and clear in my pre-match interviews with Steven Pressley and Craig McLeish.

Of course, nothing will be decided at Dens Park this afternoon, but the outcome could potentially set the tone for the remainder of the season.

  18. What's state of play in lower leagues?published at 14:40 BST 2 May

    Scottish League 1 & 2

Scottish League 1: The title is between Inverness and Stenhousemuir. Inverness hold a two-point advantage and a vastly superior goal difference, so realistically they will be champions unless they lose to Hamilton and Stenhousemuir win at Montrose.

The relegation play-off place is between Hamilton, East Fife and Cove Rangers. Cove and East Fife play each other.

Scottish League 2: East Kilbride will be promoted as champions unless they lose to Clyde and Spartans win at Stirling while making up at least a five-goal swing in goal difference.

We'll keep you in the loop.

  19. McGlynn expecting 'cracking' gamepublished at 14:38 BST 2 May

    Falkirk v Motherwell (15:00)

Falkirk boss John McGlynn tells BBC Scotland: "It will be a cracking game here today. I've been so impressed by Jens and his team but we've done really well against them.

"We've got the better of them [in previous meetings] and I'm sure that will ruffle a few feathers with Jens.

"His team causes every team problems but we've managed to survive at times and managed to get over the line and in the last game we played particularly well.

"We've got four games to try to draw back the five points on Hibs, if we can possibly do that. A win today and a Hibs loss tomorrow would bring it down to two points before we play them next week, which would make it interesting.

"Tough, tough game today and we'll need to be at our best."

  20. 'I'll be surprised if it's a boring game' - Askoupublished at 14:36 BST 2 May

    Falkirk v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "I would be surprised if it was a boring game but I would rather sit, in a few hours from now, and be happy that we've finally beat Falkirk this season.

"We play some open football, so do they, so I think there will be some exciting moments in the game and hopefully we will be better at getting the ball in the back of the net than they will.

"It's always cool to win football games and it had been a while since we did that. The way we did it, against that level of opposition, with the season drawing to a close and with everyone knowing how vital it was for them to win, it was a great day - but it feels like long ago now.

"The ambition is to win the last four games and if we do that we know we are home safe [for a European spot]. All sorts of feelings come into play but it's about keeping the feelings away. We have a football game today against a really tough opponent and we want to win."
