  3. Hearts about to increase lead?published at 16:02 GMT 3 January

    Scottish Premiership

As it stands, Hearts are going to be stretching their lead at the top of the Premiership to six points.

That, thanks to their lead over Livingston and Rangers' win at Celtic Park, which means the Old Firm duo are level on points behind the Edinburgh leaders.

Celtic's 3-1 defeat has led to protests outside the home ground against the board and manager Wilfried Nancy.

  7. Hearts dominant but only one aheadpublished at 15:54 GMT 3 January

    HT: Hearts 1-0 Livingston

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tynecastle

This game really should be out of sight, but no doubt Livingston boss David Martindale will be making that very point to his players.

The creativity from Hearts has been a joy to watch for the 18,000 Jambos inside Tynecastle.

But Derek McInnes will be looking for his players to be more ruthless in the second half to kill any chances of a Livi comeback.

  8. HALF-TIME - Heart of Midlothian 1-0 Livingstonpublished at 15:52 GMT 3 January

Total domination from the league leaders.

Hearts have had 15 shots but have only managed to beat goalkeeper Jerome Prior once.

Craig Halkett guided in a header from debutant Jordi Altena's deep cross on 18 minutes.

Prior has pulled off a couple of top saves, a Braga shot was deflected off a post and Tomas Magnusson missed a sitter.

It could be five or six for Hearts.

  9. HALF-TIME Falkirk 0-0 Aberdeenpublished at 15:51 GMT 3 January

A first-half absolutely dominated by Falkirk, but the score remains goalless.

Aberdeen haven’t gotten to grips with their back four and the Bairns have created countless chances.

But, as has been the way of it in recent weeks, they are lacking confidence in front of goal and have spurned plenty of opportunities.

  10. HALF-TIME Motherwell 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:50 GMT 3 January

Motherwell thoroughly deserve their lead at the break and St Mirren are maybe lucky it wasn't more.

The Buddies have looked decent in spells and are defending well but have yet to find the clinical edge Stephen Robinson was asking for before the game.

  11. HALF-TIME Dundee United 0-1 Dundeepublished at 15:49 GMT 3 January

Ashley Hay's calm finish gives Dundee a narrow half-time lead at Tannadice.

Steven Pressley's side could be further in front having spurned several gilt-edged chances earlier in the half, but there is plenty of work to do for United, who have been far from their best.

  12. Postpublished at 15:48 GMT 3 January

    Falkirk 0-0 Aberdeen

Here's a chance for Aberdeen as Kevin Nisbet races on to a ball over the top... and he skies it! The Scotland striker has to do better.

  13. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 0-1 Hibernianpublished at 15:48 GMT 3 January

Hibs hold a lead at the interval and it's one they deserve after Elie Youan's early header.

However, Hibs - and, indeed, Kilmarnock - need only look to what happened at Celtic Park earlier to see how fragile a one-goal advantage can be.

Killie have rarely threatened and have had to repel a few Hibs efforts, but they are not out of this one just yet.

  14. goal

GOAL Dundee United 0-1 DUNDEEpublished at 15:47 GMT 3 January

    Ashley Hay

Dundee have been the better team in this first half and they hit the front just before the break.

Ashley Hay pounces after Pan Camara misjudges a header and having gone through on goal, he picks out the bottom corner.

  15. goal

GOAL Partick Thistle 0-2 GREENOCK MORTONpublished at 15:47 GMT 3 January

    Eamonn Brophy

    The Ian Murray effect.

Morton increase their lead under their new manager.

  16. Postpublished at 15:46 GMT 3 January

    Kilmarnock 0-1 Hibernian

No sign of that Kilmarnock substitution as yet so there's maybe been a change of heart by interim boss Kris Doolan. Half-time will be interesting.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:46 GMT 3 January

    Dundee United 0-0 Dundee

Ashley Hay shoots just over the top after some tidy Dundee passing.

The forward had a teammate unmarked outside him but chose to go for goal.

The visitors have had the better chances but are yet to hit the target.

  18. Hearts on toppublished at 15:45 GMT 3 January

    Hearts 1-0 Livingston

Lawrence Shankland has created six chances, the first time the Hearts striker has created at least five chances in a match in the Premiership since facing Ross County on 22 April 2023 (five chances).

Alexandros Kyziridis has five goal attempts, the winger's highest total in a single match in the Premiership.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:44 GMT 3 January

    Hearts 1-0 Livingston

Honestly, how are Hearts not about 5-0 up?

Harry Milne's diving header is pawed away by sprawling goalkeeper Jerome Prior.

  20. Postpublished at 15:44 GMT 3 January

    Kilmarnock 0-1 Hibernian

Elie Youan crosses low for Thibaut Klidje to turn an effort towards goal, but goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi gathers.

Hibs may feel they should be more than one up.
