Manchester United have come through two lots of extra-time in this season's competition, against Derby County and then, in the sem-final, Crystal Palace.

Going 120 minutes will hold no fears for them. Darren Fletcher has trained his team to come strong into the latter stages of games.

We shall see if that stamina is needed tonight.

The tempo of the game has just slowed down again. Manchester City have probably been the better side in this second half so far.

JJ Gabriel gets an opportunity down the left but his low shot is fired straight at Max Hudson, who hasn't had a great deal to do tonight.

A slick Manchester City move as they break at rapid pace.

Ryan McAidoo lays the ball off to Reigan Heskey to his right but the forward can only find the side netting.

Manchester United give away a needless free-kick and Darren Fletcher looks to be getting increasingly frustrated.

His side haven't started this second half particularly strongly.

I was about to say if VAR had been in operation, that would have been a penalty.

Given some of the VAR decisions recently, actually maybe not.

But Cameron Byrne-Hughes didn't play the ball.

For me, that is a penalty. That's a poor decision.

Oh hello. Have Manchester United got away with one here?

Cameron Byrne-Hughes dives at the feet of Floyd Samba to smother the ball but I'm not sure how much of the ball he actually got.

A corner is the decision but City might feel aggrieved at that.

And away we go with the second half.

Indeed, Junior Brown is on in place of the already-booked Rafe McCormack at the break.

It will be interesting to see when Darren Fletcher starts to look towards his substitutes bench.

Noah Ajayi in particular has not really had an impact tonight for Manchester United and I wonder if Junior Brown might get a call.

Brown is the player who has missed out due to Amir Ibragimov's return to fitness.

He has had an impact on this run already this season.

And here's how Manchester United quickly got back on level terms.

Here's the goal that put Manchester City ahead...But not for long.

Manchester City had a brilliant chance to go ahead through Teddie Lamb 10 minutes or so before Floyd Samba got the breakthrough.

Well it took 40 minutes for this final to come alive but a couple of goals have certainly made things interesting.

In the last meeting between the teams, Manchester City took the lead, then Manchester United hit back with three goals on their way to eventual victory.

I mentioned about Jim Thwaites before. His crossing and ball striking is clear.

Godwill Kukonki is an England youth player. He is very robust and a threat in the air, as he proved.

What a reaction from Manchester United. City just don't do enough to stop the ball going into the box.

This game has well and truly woke up.

It was all a bit flat until that stunner from Floyd Samba and what a reaction from United to going behind.

Chances are coming thick and fast now as Harrison Miles tries one from range but Cameron Byrne-Hughes.
