  3. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Man Utdpublished at 20:44 BST 14 May

    Reigan Heskey (87 mins)

    Late drama

Ryan McAidoo holds the ball up well in the box then offloads to Jake Wain, who spots Reigan Heskey to his left.

The forward twists and turns then chops inside and pummels it into the far top corner.

Great finish - is that the goal that wins Manchester City the FA Youth Cup?

  4. Postpublished at 20:44 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

The ball is threaded through for Ryan McAidoo on the right-hand side but he slips over and United recover possession.

  5. Postpublished at 20:43 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Five minutes plus stoppages for one of these sides to find a winner and get their hands on that coveted trophy.

It doesn't massively feel like a goal is coming from either side at this point.

  6. Postpublished at 20:40 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Manchester United win a free-kick in a decent area wide on the right-hand side.

Jim Thwaites whips it in but it's headed away at the near post.

  7. Overy's Australian callspublished at 20:38 BST 14 May

James Overy has had an amazing season.

He was called up by the Australia full national side, he also played in the Under-20 World Cup and the Asian Under-23 Cup.

Overy is quick and can attack the flanks.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:37 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Goal scorer Godwill Kukonki makes way for James Overy for Manchester United.

  9. Postpublished at 20:35 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Ryan McAidoo does brilliantly down the right, skipping away from Godwill Kukonki then getting a shot away but it's off target.

Kukonki has struggled a bit down that side in this second half.

  10. Time for a team talkpublished at 20:34 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    Shamoon Hafez
BBC Sport football reporter at Joie Stadium

The old, 'goalkeeper going down for a quick team talk' routine being used in youth football too.

The ridiculous nature of this one was that United goalkeeper Cameron Byrne-Hughes sat down on the deck and no physio came on to treat him while both sets of players went to the side of the pitch to take instructions from their respective managers.

We must point out that Byrne-Hughes might actually have hurt himself, but he is fine to continue for now.

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Oh look, Cameron Byrne-Hughes is up and fine to carry on having received no medical treatment.

  12. Darren Fletcher will want morepublished at 20:33 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport Manchester United reporter

Manchester City and Manchester United are the top two Under-18 teams in the country, so it is not as this is an easy game for either of them.

But I think Darren Fletcher will expect more from his side.

They just haven't kept possession well enough to build any momentum and it is almost a reliance on defence, which is strong.

Chido Obi and JJ Gabriel need to make an impact at the other end of the pitch.

  13. Postpublished at 20:33 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Cameron Byrne-Hughes sits down on the turf injured.

The physios haven't even come onto the pitch but all of the players have headed over to their respective managers for a chat.

    How very daft.

  14. Postpublished at 20:31 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Manchester City well on top in terms of possession with United sat in deep defending.

Just less than 20 minutes for one of these sides to find a winner otherwise we're heading for extra time.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:27 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Oliver Reiss is going to make a change of his own.

On comes Finlay Gorman for Tyrone Samba.

  16. Postpublished at 20:26 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Godwill Kukonki goes down with cramp almost in the goal mouth and very nearly gets in the way of a header from his team-mate which was heading for somewhere near the target.

  17. Postpublished at 20:24 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Manchester United continue to play out from the back and it remains a risky strategy but they do well to get out of their own half and eventually win a corner.

Referee Tom Nield is dishing out cards like it's Christmas. Lost count of the number of players he has booked but City captain Kaden Braithwaite is the latest into the book for pulling back Chido Obi.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:22 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

A booking for Kaden Braithwaite for a foul on Chido Obi.

  20. Postpublished at 20:22 BST 14 May

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

Oooooh, another pacey break from Manchester City.

Reigan Heskey puts the burners on down the left-hand side and pumps a ball across the penalty box but it's got a bit too much pace on for Teddie Lamb to finish off.
