    Rangers 0-0 Montrose

Rangers have been pinned back a little here by Montrose in the last few minutes.

However, they've been unable to turn that pressure into a decent chance.

Still though, it'll boost the confidence.

Craig Feroz will be delighted with the start his side have made.

They've put pressure on Rangers, they've got nice and tight in the midfield and they've had opportunities to get the shot off.

    Rangers 0-0 Montrose

Rangers winger Calliste Brookshire is tussling with Erin Ross. The American is probably Leanne Crichton's biggest threat with Wilkinson off the pitch.

Ross does well though, and it's just a corner. The ball comes to Mia McAulay on the edge of the box, but she hooks it well wide.

I'm not surprised by Cassie Cowper making that tackle, that's what she's done her full career.

It shows Rangers that if they keep the ball, keep it moving, show nice close touches, they can get in on goal.

  5. Postpublished at 2'

    Rangers 0-0 Montrose

    Some incredible Montrose defending already.

Jodi McLeary barges through in the middle of the box, but Cassie Cowper lunges back and gets a toe to the ball to deny McLeary, who was clear through on goal.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:31 BST 3 May

    Rangers 0-0 Montrose

Lorraine Watson is the referee today, she peeps her whistle and we are off with Rangers in their traditional blue, Montrose in their change kit of dark pink.

Interesting that there's no Katie Wilkinson for Rangers today, she's the top scorer in the league and will be hard to replace.

Mia McAulay is up top, in her place.

  7. Feroz finds it 'hard to believe' Montrose journeypublished at 13:30 BST 3 May

    Rangers v Montrose (13:30)

Montrose boss Craig Feroz tells BBC Scotland: "We've been pretty nervous, but a different emotion today. We're normally under pressure to get points but there's no pressure on us today. We just want to do a good job and make the town proud.

"When I first started, there was no affiliation with the men. We didn't wear the same kit, the girls actually paid to play, monthly. I changed that and now we're standing at Hampden.

"It's hard to believe. When we were driving in today, I had to pinch myself. The girls are handling it better than me, I'm extremely nervous."

  8. Rangers 'battered and bruised' after midweek win over Hibspublished at 13:28 BST 3 May

    Rangers v Montrose (13:30)

Rangers head coach Leanne Crichton tells BBC Scotland: "We've done okay. Wednesday night was tough, we came through it battered and bruised and lost a few players to injury, which is disappointing at this stage of the season.

"The reality is we've got a good squad, players who've returned from injury which has helped us.

"The group is ready, the players are excited, the stage is set and the pitch is immaculate, so no complaints.

"How we move the ball today will be really important. We're expecting a physical battle, similar to Wednesday. Montrose have that in the locker. They're a side we know can cause problems."

  10. What happened yesterday?published at 13:23 BST 3 May

FT: Celtic 3-2 Glasgow City (AET)

Celtic scored twice in extra time to book their place in a first Women's Scottish Cup final in three years as they defeated Glasgow City.

Saoirse Noonan's first-half header seemed set to be the winner for Celtic - who had not beaten City since August 2024 - in regulation time, but Linda Motlhalo's powerful strike with seven minutes remaining forced the extra 30 minutes.

Amy Gallacher netted a pinpoint strike two minutes in to puncture the feelgood factor among the City ranks and restore Celtic's lead.

And Grant Scott's side extended their lead deep into first-half additional time.

Scotland international Shannon McGregor, making her Hampden bow, was alive at the back post to take a touch and blast in what proved to be the winner.

That looked to be that, but City reduced the deficit in the final minute as substitute Emily Grey eventually stroked home after a stramash in the box.

  11. History-makers v Cup holderspublished at 13:20 BST 3 May

    Rangers v Montrose (13:30)

The head-to-head results don't make great reading for Montrose - Rangers have won the previous seven and scored 46 goals in those outings.

With two league games to go and safety confirmed, Montrose are free of pressure as they look to end the season on a high with a first-ever trip to Hampden.

Rangers will desperate to ensure they don't lose their grip on the cup, having won it two seasons running.

Tellingly, since the split, Rangers have played eight in all competitions. Montrose have played just four. Will that provide freshness, or unwanted rust?

Good afternoon and welcome back to Hampden for the second Women's Scottish Cup semi-final.

The national stadium played host to a real battle yesterday as Celtic edged out Glasgow City in extra-time to book a place in the final.

But will it be their bitter city rivals that meet them back here in a few weeks? Or can Montrose pull off the biggest shock in Scottish women's football history?
