It is a bit more of an even contest in this second period at Ewood Park.

Middlesbrough may rue not making the most of their first-half dominance.

  2. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 13:43 GMT 21 March

    Ipswich 1-1 Millwall

    Millwall think they are ahead.

The ball goes straight in from a corner but Josh Coburn is shoving goalkeeper Christian Walton and Michael Salisbiury has spotted it.

Ipswich know they are in a game.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:41 GMT 21 March

    Ipswich 1-1 Millwall

Ivan Azon cuts inside and has a shot blocked for Ipswich.

It's a dive, about 5.4 for technical ability.

    Yellow card for Azon.

Game on and Ipswich out of the top two.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:37 GMT 21 March

    Derby 1-0 Birmingham

Jonathan Panzo is booked for a poor challenge on Ben Brereton Diaz.

Free-kick in a great position on the right for Derby.

James Beadle is very unconvincing with his claim, but it is cleared.

Deja vu for Boro, could have been out of sight by half time but will probably lose to Blackburn's only attack in the second half. We've played really well at times, but it's painful viewing. Play-offs await.

    Ipswich 1-0 Millwall

Millwall force an early corner in the second 45.

Christian Walton punches the ball away but that is already better from the visitors.

  10. Postpublished at 13:34 GMT 21 March

    Derby 1-0 Birmingham

No changes for either side yet.

Can Birmingham rescue this? You sense they need to if they want to keep their play-off hunt alive.

It is hard to see what more Middlesbrough can do, apart from take their chances.

Kim Hellberg has done everything he can do, and he has mixed it up with how they play, getting Luke Ayling out on the wing and pushing the centre-halves up the pitch.

Boro have been a joy to watch and at the end of the day it is about getting the ball in the back of the net.

There have been some chances to put this game out of sight, and we should probably be at least 2-0 up.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:33 GMT 21 March

    Ipswich 1-0 Millwall

A change for Millwall at the break.

Macaulay Langstaff hardly had a kick in the first period although not exactly his fault.

    Mihailo Ivanovic is on.

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:33 GMT 21 March

We have teams on the move already today.

What will the second 45 bring us?

    We are back at it.

Chris Davies’ Blues team somehow conspire to be less than the sum of their parts. Utterly lacking in self belief away from home. Always there for the taking. Can Davies fix this? He needs to or he’s gone by Christmas.

    Philip, North Yorkshire

Absolutely dreadful half, one of our worst of the season so far. Only upside is that Derby couldn't score more than one.

    Simon, Solihull

I can't help but think Davies' days are numbered at Blues. With the money we have spent, we should be far more competitive. We are an average mid-table side with no plan B.

Ipswich going second as it stands - unless Boro can find a breakthrough at Ewood Park.

Derby very much in the play-off race - and Birmingham far less so - if things stay as they are at Pride Park.

Ipswich 100% deserve to be in the lead at this point, and maybe should have more than the one goal to be honest.

I watch quite a bit of football and to see the way Jack Clarke plays. I thoroughly enjoy watching a player like him who wants the ball, and is allowed to do what he wants when he gets it.

Clarke is willing to take people on and that is what you want to see from an Ipswich perspective.

  18. Can Boro fans suck ball into net?published at 13:22 GMT 21 March

    HT: Blackburn 0-0 Middlesbrough

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport reporter at Ewood Park

A familiar tale for Middlesbrough from recent games.

Loads of the ball, some great chances and excellent situations but no goal.

Blackburn have sat in and nearly nicked a goal through Ryoya Morishita, but will be pleased to go in goalless.

You doubt the respective approaches will change after the break but Boro will be attacking housing their 7,000 fans.

Can they suck the ball into the net?

Coventry to win the league with Ipswich going up automatically. Boro, Millwall, Hull and Southampton for play-offs. Love to see Hull back up to PL but have a gut feeling Millwall will do it. Leicester and Oxford will go down with Sheff Wed.

    Blackburn 0-0 Middlesbrough

Blackburn goalkeeper Balazs Toth makes a save against MiddlesbroughImage source, Shutterstock

Balazs Toth has kept Blackburn in this with good saves to deny Luke Ayling and David Strelec with Middlesbrough totally dominant.

But Rovers did come to life late in the half with Ryoya Morishita having an effort kept out by Sol Brynn.

Boro need a goal or they are out of the top two as we stand.
