    Leicester 0-0 London City

That is as close as Izzy Goodwin has come to having a sight of goal.

Nikita Parris sends a ball in, Kosovare Asllani has a shot blocked.

The ball comes out to Jana Fernandez, who whips a low cross into the six yard area, but it's out of Goodwin's reach as she stretches out her leg to try to meet it.

  2. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 12:40 GMT 14 December 2025

    Man City 1-0 Aston Villa

Bunny Shaw goes down in the box after a sliding challenge from Lucy Parker and turns to ask the question of referee Kirsty Dowle.

Her appeals fall on deaf ears though as Parker was deemed to have taken enough of the ball.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:39 GMT 14 December 2025

    West Ham 0-0 Liverpool

Substitute Hannah Silcock goes into the book for a tough challenge on Riko Ueki. She seems to have injured herself in that coming together too.

    West Ham 0-0 Liverpool

    Ouch.

Ceri Holland tracks back to intercept a cross aimed for Riko Ueki at the back post before her momentum sees her trip over the Barclays WSL sign on the floor next to the net and colliding into the barriers behind.

    Sandy Baltimore (43 mins)

    Pick that one out!

Nothing Sophie Baggaley could do with that one.

Sandy Baltimore plays a one-two with Alyssa Thompson before bursting into the Brighton third, chopping the ball onto her other foot and placing it perfectly into the far top corner.

Relatively muted celebrations from Chelsea. It seems like a bit of a sense of relief.

    Man City 1-0 Aston Villa

Aoba Fujino does well to make space on the right and dink a cross to opposite winger Lauren Hemp at the back stick but her volley is blocked behind.

  7. Postpublished at 12:35 GMT 14 December 2025

    West Ham 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool really don't help themselves at times do they?

Keeper Faye Kirby just played a pass straight out to Ffion Morgan on the edge of the box and was fortunate that her defenders stopped the West Ham winger's goalbound drive.

  8. Postpublished at 12:35 GMT 14 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Chelsea

That's probably the best chance Chelsea have had. Alyssa Thompson times a run excellently to get into the middle and dive down to meet a low delivery.

Sophia Baggaley can't completely control her header but a defender boots it away.

  9. Postpublished at 12:35 GMT 14 December 2025

    Leicester 0-0 London City

Leicester launch a ball into the box, Jana Fernandez heads it clear.

Neither team are managing to do much to trouble the goalkeepers.

  10. 'Exceptional by Shaw'published at 12:34 GMT 14 December 2025

    Man City 1-0 Aston Villa

That was all about the lightning quick transition on the left-hand side. Vivianne Miedema puts a first time ball in the box which is hard for the defenders to get to.

Bunny Shaw picks out that far corner exceptionally well.

With that goal, Khadija Shaw reaches 100 for her club and is Manchester City's first female player in the professional era to do so.

It's taken her just 120 appearances to reach a century of goals and is without a doubt one of the best strikers in the world. Incredible rate.

    Khadija Shaw (37 mins)

Breakthrough for the league leaders and who else but Khadija Shaw to get it?

She applies a neat sidefoot finish into the bottom corner after a great run and lay off from Vivianne Miedema before emulating the celebration of the club's other incredible number nine Erling Haaland.

  13. Postpublished at 12:30 GMT 14 December 2025

    Brighton 0-0 Chelsea

As days go to end before the winter break, this is a rather muted one.

There haven't been many other chances here. Or at many of the other games.

Sophie Baggaley goes down with an injury which seems like your standard goalkeeper going down for a break at the half-hour mark job. She's back up after her team regroup and everyone takes on some fluids.

  14. Postpublished at 12:29 GMT 14 December 2025

    West Ham 0-0 Liverpool

Fuka Nagano receives the ball around 30 yards out and has no options in Liverpool green around so decides to go for goal.

Not the wisest of decisions as it arrows well wide of the target.

  15. Postpublished at 12:28 GMT 14 December 2025

    West Ham 0-0 Liverpool

Weirdly Liverpool have looked better since going down to ten.

That earlier tactical stoppage and change of shape has helped them to see more of the ball and get higher up the pitch towards the West Ham box.

They're just lacking that killer final ball at the minute.

  16. Postpublished at 12:26 GMT 14 December 2025

    Man City 0-0 Aston Villa

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport women’s football news reporter at Joie Stadium

Ayaka Yamashita blasts a clearance out of play, knowing Rachel Daly is offside, and the ball knocks over a bin next to the City dugout.

A member of Andree Jeglertz's staff gets up to pick up the litter and there's funny cheers from the fans.

Not much else to be overly entertained by so far!

  17. Postpublished at 12:26 GMT 14 December 2025

    Man City 0-0 Aston Villa

Bunny Shaw is on one of her trademark scoring runs. She's netted in her last three WSL games.

As Lindsay says, City simply need to get service into her.

  18. Postpublished at 12:25 GMT 14 December 2025

    Leicester 0-0 London City

    File that one under 'speculative'.

Emily van Egmond has a crack from about 35 yards out. It takes a lot to score from there.

There's very little power on it. Elene Lete easily catches it.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:25 GMT 14 December 2025

    West Ham 0-0 Liverpool

How are West Ham not in front? Well, I'll tell you. Faye Kirby.

The Liverpool keeper does well to rush out and panic Viviane Asseyi into shooting straight at her when she had the goal gaping.

  20. 'Man City need to get Shaw involved more'published at 12:24 GMT 14 December 2025

    Man City 0-0 Aston Villa

    Lindsay Johnson
Former Liverpool defender on BBC 5 Sports Extra

I think Aston Villa are doing their best to get Bunny Shaw involved but Man City do need to do more for her.
