    The referee is basically man marking Roland Idowu as the St Mirren midfielder tries to fashion a shooting chance on the edge of the Killie box, then he has to dummy a pass from the visitors as they break.

    Such an open game at present as the offside flag raises when it looks like a huge opportunity is opening up for the away side.

    The crowd at Pittodrie is 18,163, in keeping with the trend of big attendances Aberdeen have had this term.

    They have averaged more than 17,000, which is not bad going given how much the Dons have struggled over the season.

    Kevin Nisbet's attempt is deflected for a corner, which was subsequently headed over the bar by centre-half Liam Morrison.

    Aberdeen have certainly had a bit more of a spring in their step since they broke the deadlock.

    Goalscorer Stuart Armstrong and Dennis Geiger, in particular, are starting to have a real influence on things.

    Martin Boyle drives his side forward with a run through the middle of the park, nudging it to Owen Elding out wide on the left.

    The striker checks back and fires it across goal, but Boyle is unable to latch on to it.

    Moments later, Falkirk find themselves in a rare promising attacking position, but striker Kyrell Wilson's shot is well blocked.

    Findlay Curtis gets a yard and the on-loan Rangers winger clips a lovely ball towards the back post, but nobody is there to pick it up for Killie.

    Martin Boyle spins his man out wide and curls in a tremendous ball to the back post.

    It is a wonderful pass.

    Campbell ghosts in and nudges it over the line to double his side's lead and his tally for the afternoon.

    Given everything that's at stake this afternoon, in front of a full house, the Buddies have not started this match at all well.

    Already a goal down and having had to make an early change with the injury to Conor McMenamin, St Mirren are struggling to put any kind of pressure whatsoever on Kilmarnock, who've enjoyed the opening 20 minutes.

    There could be some big decisions to make for interim manager Craig McLeish at the break if things don't improve markedly and rapidly.
