    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

Manchester United's players are first to emerge from the tunnel back for the second half.

We're a moment or two away from the restart.

  2. 'Both sides cancelling each other out'published at 13:28 GMT 4 January

    HT: Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds and England keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Elland Road

You do feel like it's bubbling under the surface and the game is going to open up in the second half.

It settled down from the early frantic place that it started at. Man Utd had the better of the early stages. Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha are finding the spaces behind Benjamin Sesko.

For Leeds United, Brenden Aaronson's been a constant pest and a thorn in the side.

Man Utd are accustomed to playing this system, love it or loathe it but they've played it for a long time. These two systems have seen both sides cancel each other out.

  3. 'Game is there to be won'published at 13:27 GMT 4 January

    HT: Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Owen Hargreaves
Former Manchester United midfielder on TNT Sports

The game has been very tight, not many chances. I think the managers will be quite content as it stands. It is there to be won for both teams.

  4. Sesko's problempublished at 13:25 GMT 4 January

HT: Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

I thought Sesko's hold-up play was pretty good in that first half.

The Slovenian brings others into play, and he won a couple of brilliant flick-ons for Dorgu and Cunha.

But his problem at the minute is that he's not making the most of the half chances he's getting in front of goal.

Sesko missed a gilt-edged chance with his head against Wolves on Tuesday and he was too slow to get a shot away in the first half today when Casemiro put him through.

There's no getting away from the fact that it's just two goals in red for Sesko since he joined from RB Leipzig.

Something tells me Sesko would’ve been a better fit at Arsenal, and Gyokeres at Manchester United. Swap deal this Jan?

    Jonathan P, London

Sesko is not poor, he just shouldn't be at United. It's similar to Gyokeres, whether we want to disrespect the Bundesliga/Liga Portugal league or not, they scored too many goals for us to call them bad. These players simply don't suit the teams/league they're in, Sesko is also severely lacking confidence.

    Harry, Manchester

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 GMT 4 January

    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

And that's that for the first half.

Bit of a strange one in the end. Not quite the firecracker many expected it to be and the game's been short on chances.

Calvert-Lewin squandered Leeds' best opportunity, heading against the post while Yoro saw a close-range header saved brilliantly by Perri.

    Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports at Elland Road

The game has been competitive and aggressive as we expect but we do need a goal just to liven it up.

  8. Postpublished at 13:16 GMT 4 January

    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

Half a chance for Manchester United.

Patrick Dorgu plays a lovely one-two with Cunha and gets a sight of goal from about 25 yards out on his favoured left foot.

But the Dane pulls his effort wide.

Sesko is so poor, really does not offer anything. Not at the level required.

  10. 'Really good save'published at 13:14 GMT 4 January

    Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports at Elland Road

The only one reacting better than Yoro there was Perri. That was a really good save from the goalkeeper, made sure not to parry it out but over the top.

  11. 'Yoro has to score'published at 13:14 GMT 4 January

    Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds and England keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Elland Road

Leny Yoro has got to score. He rises the biggest and the tallest. It's a brilliant instinct save by Lucas Perri.

If that's either side of the goalkeeper and that's 1-0 Manchester United.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:11 GMT 4 January

    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

Superb reflex save from Lucas Perri.

The Brazilian gets a quick hand up to tip Leny Yoro's header over.

The Frenchman was so close to goal but couldn't direct Casemiro's header either side of Perri.

Matheus Cunha volleys over from the resulting corner.

  13. 'Leeds have grown into the game'published at 13:08 GMT 4 January

    Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds and England keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Elland Road

Leeds are growing into this game. They've settled as this game's started to take shape.

They were going very hard and fast at each other at the start of the game. Leeds now have a foothold without any real quality for either team in the final third.

Half an hour gone. Zero shots on target. What a rip-roaring affair this is.

  15. 'First real, big opportunity'published at 13:07 GMT 4 January

    Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Lucy Ward
Former Leeds striker on TNT Sports at Elland Road

Calvert-Lewin can't believe it. I think everyone in Elland Road thought that was going to nestle into the back of the net with the form he is in. That is the first real, big opportunity of the game.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORK - Calvert-Lewinpublished at 13:07 GMT 4 January

    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

    Oh my.

Calvert-Lewin is inches away from opening the scoring.

The in-form striker gets his head on an enticing Anton Stach cross but he doesn't get enough on it as he sees his effort deflect behind off the post.

That's the biggest chance of the match so far.

  17. YELLOW CARD - Dorgupublished at 13:04 GMT 4 January

    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

Patrick Dorgu goes into the book for a late challenge on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Dane was trying to block a pass in his defence but the referee is having none of it.

Diogo Dalot has a good chance following a Manchester United corner but the Portuguese leans back and sends his effort high and wide.

  19. Postpublished at 12:58 GMT 4 January

    Leeds United 0-0 Manchester United

This is much better from Leeds, who have enjoyed their best period of the game in the last few minutes.

They're spending a lot more time in Manchester United's half, albeit without creating too much just yet.

  20. Dangerous from Ayden Heavenpublished at 12:57 GMT 4 January

    Leeds 0-0 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Football News Reporter at Elland Road

Ayden Heaven has improved markedly since he came into the Manchester United side last month.

But we already know he can be a bit impetuous and he is young.

That was potentially a very dangerous tackle on James Justin, that could easily have led to a penalty.

Heaven got the ball, so he was OK. But probably wiser to stay on your feet in that situation and close the opponent down.
