    Southampton 5-0 QPR

Taylor Harwood-Bellis is encouraged to shoot by the home faithful and he gives them what they want - but it's not the best effort and it trickles away for a goal kick.

But it matters little on a fine night for his side.

The last knockings of this one now.

QPR can't wait to get on the bus home I'm sure.

    Southampton 5-0 QPR

QPR are caught in possession near their own 18 yard box leading to a sharp chance for Cameron Archer but Joe Walsh smothers it.

James Bree has looked stronger and sharper since returning from loan at Charlton. No doubt he’s made a difference to Saints since his January return.

This Saints team finally look like a team that playing as a unit and marching towards the play-off positions. Come on you Saints.

    West Brom 1-1 Charlton

    Eric Ramsay's wait goes on.

It is eight league games without a win for the Baggies boss at the start of his tenure.

It looked like he was going to break his duck when George Campbell headed them into the lead in first-half stoppage time but they were made to pay for wasting a number of chances.

In fact just seconds after Isaac Price had sliced a good chance wide, Lyndon Dykes was sent scampering away by Kayne Ramsay to slot past Max O'Leary and earn Charlton a good point on the road.

West Brom's trip to Oxford on Saturday looks even bigger now...

  7. 'Happy with a point'published at 21:42 GMT 24 February

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Leicester

    Matt Heath
    Former Foxes defender

    Hugely happy with a point.

This game won't define whether we stay up or go down but I would've snapped your hand off for a point at the beginning of the game.

Pleasing outcome, pleasing point and a positive performance to build on.

Preston are denied a win right at the death on the road as they chase the Championship play-off places.

Daniel Jebbison's sixth goal of the season from Callum Lang's nod back across the face of goal looked to be proving pivotal before Liam Cullen headed a stoppage-time equaliser for Swansea.

The home side dominated the second period but wasted a number of opportunities until Cullen struck.

  9. Relief for Wrexhampublished at 21:41 GMT 24 February

    FT: Wrexham 2-1 Portsmouth

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras

A huge sense of relief for the home fans as their side get over the line.

Back-to-back wins, and their place in the top six is strengthened.

But my word they were made to work for it in that second half.

Ipswich are back to winning ways thanks to a goal from Sindre Walle Egeli in the first period before George Hirst ended his nine-game goal drought in the second 45.

It's all over - another win for Wrexham!

They stay sixth and cement their place in the play-off spots thanks to first-half goals from Sam Smith and Max Cleworth.

Zak Swanson got a goal back early in the second half for Pompey and the visitors pushed for an equaliser but Wrexham rode out the pressure well on their way to three points in front of their home fans.

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Leicester

An excellent point for Leicester and another setback for Middlesbrough in their automatic promotion bid.

That's now three games without a win for Boro and two consecutive home games in which they've dropped points to a side in the relegation zone.

Gary Rowett is unbeaten in his first two games as Foxes boss and it's the first time since-mid-December Leicester have gone two games without defeat.

It's now eight without a win for Leicester, but building blocks at least.

    Blackburn 1-2 Bristol City

Bristol City hold on for an important three points as Michael O'Neill tastes defeat for the first time as Blackburn boss.

A first half turnaround is enough for the Robins to get the job done and they keep touch with the play-off places.

Rovers see their cushion to the bottom three cut to four points.

    Hull 4-2 Derby

Hull players celebrate in front of fansImage source, Shutterstock

A very entertaining game at the MKM Stadium and it's Hull City who take the points in this battle of the play-off contenders.

Both sides had plenty of chances throughout the 90 minutes but it's the Tigers who were more clinical and Hull's play-off bid is looking very health indeed.
