Tottenham 2-0 Doncaster
It's nice from Toyosi Olusanya to flick the ball over the head of Joao Palhinha but the midfielder wasn't letting the man past too.
Newcastle 2-0 Bradford
A big save from Sam Walker denies William Osula a second goal.
Anthony Elanga finds him in the box and he shifts onto his left but it's a smart save from Walker to keep the deficit to two.
Port Vale 0-1 Arsenal
Port Vale need to settle themselves after conceding that early opener. Another goal conceded and this tie may be over but it's even started.
After just 20 minutes or so of EFL Cup action, third-round upsets are looking pretty unlikely.

Newcastle's tails are up now following that quickfire double.
A side who have been struggling in front of goal have scored as many goals in the opening stages here as they have in their previous four games combined.

It's great to see Phil Foden back and playing at this level. Last season was difficult for him with injuries and other things but when he's at his best he's unstoppable.

Lovely goal!
It's good from Gabriel Martinelli again as he picks the ball up on the left and looks inside for Eberechi Eze to slot into the bottom corner for his first goal in Arsenal colours.

Gabriel Martinelli digs out a cross to the back post but it's headed clear just before Bukayo Saka gets to it.

It's absolutely brilliant from Phil Foden. It's real intricate play from Man City.
It's that precision to hit it into that far corner. The goalkeeper has no chance.

Skipper Owen Bailey goes into the book for a cynical drag back on Xavi Simons.
Port Vale 0-0 Arsenal
Bukayo Saka being booed every time he touches the ball.
Maybe that's one way to stop him.

As mentioned earlier, Phil Foden is beginning to get back towards his best and that goal is a prime example of that.
A give-and-go with Divine Mukasa, pushing it out of his feet and drilling an unerring finish.
William Osula (19 mins)
Well Newcastle might have been struggling to score this season but they've got two in rapid fashion here!
A lovely finish by William Osula but what a pass it is from Bruno Guimaraes.
The Brazilian picks out the run of Osula and the forward only has to slot home.

Newcastle United needed that goal.
The holders had dominated possession, but a physical Bradford side had disrupted their rhythm with some niggly challenges.
And Bradford actually had the better chances in the opening stages – debutant Aaron Ramsdale certainly had to be alert in the Newcastle goal – before Joelinton put the hosts in front at St James’ Park.
Phil Foden
Sublime finish by Phil Foden.
He plays a one-two on the edge of the area with Divine Mukasa, jinks past a couple of defenders and finds the back of the net with a lovely finish.
It's been all City and that has been coming but it's a fantastic finish from a player who will take bags of confidence from that.

City are passing patiently, probing the Town backline.
They are having more possession here than they had at the Emirates on Sunday.
Jay McGrath - own goal (17 mins)
Wilson Odobert does well to work space a fire ball across goal and Jay McGrath can't sort his feet out and turns it in his own net.
A long way back for Doncaster now.
Joelinton (17 mins)
Newcastle shift the ball well around the edge of the penalty box and it comes to Anthony Gordon but his shot pings back out.
Joelinton is alert to the rebound and slots into the bottom corner.
Good finish and the hosts have the advantage.
