  1. City aiming for league double over neighbourspublished at 13:08 GMT 28 March

Manchester United v Manchester City (13:30 GMT)

It was a blue blitz in the first half of the reverse fixture between the Manchester rivals back in November.

Goals from Rebecca Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp had City 3-0 up by half time, with United unable to muster any sort of answer.

    HT: Everton 0-3 Liverpool

    Michelle Hinnigan
Former Everton captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It is tough for Everton now. It is going to be a difficult second half for them to come back from being 3-0 down at half-time.

They have been conceding when they've been doing well, so maybe they can go into the second half with a bit of confidence.

It's just about the final ball, isn't it? They only had two shots on target during that first half. They need to consistently do that in the second half.

    HT: Everton 0-3 Liverpool

    Julie Griffiths
Former Liverpool captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

A great first half for Liverpool. I just don't want them to get too complacent though because the game isn't over.

Everton aren't going to stop, they are going to keep coming at them because they have nothing to lose. So I think they have to go into this second half and act like it is 0-0 still.

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC Women's Football Weekly podcast

Man Utd have to start racking up the points and being in those Champions League spots. On the other hand they also want to progress as far as they can I this season's Champions League, so I think the priority is Champions League, and then they will look ahead to WSL.

It's all in their own hands and if anyone else was to slip up while they gain momentum, that would be huge for them in the race for the Champions League spots.

Manchester United v Manchester City (13:30 GMT)

    Jen Beattie
Former Scotland defender on BBC Women's Football Weekly

Man City look too good for me, the way that they have performed all season long. I will always talk about the benefit of not playing in the Champions League, so they get that extra bit of rest. Their dominance at the top of the table speaks volumes and I think this might be one game a little bit too much for United. I think their focus is going to be on Bayern Munich [on Tuesday].

It's a huge Manchester derby as City are closing in on a first league title in 10 years and United need to secure a top three spot.

It's the perfect stage at Old Trafford to host such an occasion but the club will be hoping for a higher attendance than the 7,000-odd who came on Wednesday for their defeat by Bayern.

The walk up to Old Trafford from the local tram stops are filled with merchandise stalls, selling scarves and match programmes.

There's plenty of Jess Park shirts in view - Manchester United ones, not her former club Manchester City.

She will be hoping to make an impression as United look to bounce back from Wednesday's defeat.

It's been a dream first season in charge for Andree Jeglertz at Manchester City.

His side have won 15 of their 18 games played so far, scoring 52 goals to leave their rivals in their wake as they have marched to the top of the table.

While a win across town today against cross-city rivals Manchester United will not quite be enough to clinch the crown, it would take the blues one almighty step closer with just three more games left to play.

It's been a busy (and bruising) few weeks for Manchester United as they've hopped across three different competitions.

They've picked up just one win in their past five games, suffering an agonising defeat to Chelsea in the League Cup final, before dropping points at West Ham in the WSL, as well as losing the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich.

That considered they have not lost a league game since November, and got back to winning ways with a stoppage time winner against Everton last weekend.

The Champions League qualification race is in their hands and they can also dent their rivals' title charge with a win today - what more of an incentive do you need?

    What a goal!

Ceri Holland just kept running and running, and the space kept opening up for her. The space opened up beautifully and she saw the opportunity to place her shot right in the top corner.

A brilliant goal. It's exactly what Liverpool deserve, despite Everton coming at them for the last 10 to 15 minutes.

Derby day delight for Liverpool and this is a wonderful goal from Ceri Holland, for her second goal of the afternoon.

She picks up the ball close to the left touchline and near the halfway line, but Holland has the pace and skill to charge at the Everton defence, with Martina Fernandez backing off.

Holland gets to within shooting range and curls a superb effort into the top corner. Lovely.

  19. Team news - Riviere returns, Hasegawa back for Citypublished at 12:39 GMT 28 March

Elisabeth Terland and Ella Toone are not in the squad because of injury.

Manchester United XI: Tullis-Joyce, Le Tissier, Lundkvist, Park, Malard, Awujo, Riviere, Naalsund, Miyazawa, Turner, Schuller.

This is much better from Everton.

They are playing the ball around area now. Rosa van Gool is showing a lot of confidence. Ornella Vignola is getting involved in some great play.

It's almost like the second goal made Everton kick into action because they have moved into third and fourth gear now.
