A little bit of the sting has gone out of the game after the third from Cheltenham.

You do feel that they might need a fourth, just to be sure.

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:32 GMT 6 December 2025

    Chelmsford City 0-1 Weston-super-Mare

Almost an instant response from Chelmsford!

A deep corner is met by a strong header from Dominic Odusanya but good defending on their goal line from Weston-super-Mare sees them scramble the ball clear.

After an uneventful first hour, this match has finally sparked into life.

  3. goal

GOAL: Fleetwood 1-1 Lutonpublished at 16:29 GMT 6 December 2025

    Jerry Yates (73 mins)

An equaliser from an unwelcome face at Highbury!

Luton substitute Jerry Yates received a chorus of boos when he jogged on to the pitch.

Rather prophetic considering the former Blackpool forward picked up Gideon Kodua's cross to slot it into the left corner and level the score.

Pretty filthy conditions now on the Fylde coast. Slick surface starting to cut up and a few players slipping.

It may have played a part in Ethan Ennis’ goal, his low shot squeezing under James Shea, who may feel he could have done better.

Jack Wilshere has sent for attacking reinforcements with a triple change of Yates, Brown and Kodua but since going ahead it’s Fleetwood who’ve looked most likely to grab the second.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    Swindon 2-0 Bolton

Thierry Gale's comeback game has come to an end for Bolton.

He's heading for the bench alongside Joel Randall to make room on the pitch for Marcus Forss and Mason Burstow.

  6. goal

    GOAL: Chelmsford City 0-1 Weston-super-Marepublished at 16:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    Louis Britton (62 mins)

Marco van Basten, eat your heart out!

A delicate ball is dinked into the right side of the box and Weston-super-Mare striker Louis Britton smashes a right foot volley into the top corner from the angle past Chelmsford keeper Chris Haigh.

A stunning goal to light up this all sixth-tier clash!

  7. 'Really good work from Thomas'published at 16:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    Cheltenham 3-2 Buxton

    Peter Matthews

Really good work there from Jordan Thomas and he has put Cheltenham ahead for the first time in this one.

They have previously struggled for goals have Cheltenham, but I don't think we are finished today.

League Two Barrow have drawn level against League One hosts Wigan through Jack Earing. The upset could still be on here.

Meanwhile, Exeter are now 2-0 up against fellow League One opponents Wycombe and it's another goal for Jack Aitchison, who rounds Chairboys keeper Will Norris and slots it home for his and the Grecians' second of the afternoon.

  9. goal

GOAL: Cheltenham 3-2 Buxtonpublished at 16:22 GMT 6 December 2025

    Jordan Thomas (62 mins)

Cheltenham lead for the first time today!

A terrific ball to the back post finds Jordan Thomas, who takes the ball down beautifully before remaining patient in the box and whipping the ball past Joe Young into the back of the net with his left foot.

    What an excellent goal!

  10. goal

GOAL: Fleetwood 1-0 Lutonpublished at 16:21 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ethan Ennis (65 mins)

A BREAKTHROUGH AND IT GOES THE UNDERDOGS' WAY!

Manchester United loanee Ethan Ennis makes what seems like a tame shot at goal but Luton keeper James Shea and his defenders appear to be asleep.

It finds its way to the net and now a grizzly afternoon at Highbury Stadium has just got more dreary for the visitors.

  11. 'What a cup tie this is'published at 16:21 GMT 6 December 2025

    Cheltenham 2-2 Buxton

    Peter Matthews
BBC Radio Gloucestershire's Cheltenham Town commentator

What a cup tie this is.

Robbie Cundy will claim it but his effort took a huge deflection off a Buxton player.

They had to score the next goal, and they have done just that.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:19 GMT 6 December 2025

    Swindon 2-0 Bolton

That defensive error has triggered a change in Bolton's backline as Richard Taylor and Josh Dacres-Cogley are withdrawn.

On come Cyrus Christie and Max Conway as the Trotters try to find a way back into the tie.

  13. goal

GOAL: Cheltenham 2-2 Buxtonpublished at 16:18 GMT 6 December 2025

    Robbie Cundy (58 mins)

Big deflection and the Robins are level again!

The ball eventually lands at the feet of half-time sub Robbie Cundy who, from just outside the box, passes an effort which gets a huge deflection and deceives Joe Young in the Buxton goal.

2-2 with more than half an hour left - what a cracking FA Cup tie!

  14. Postpublished at 16:16 GMT 6 December 2025

    Cheltenham 1-2 Buxton

Cheltenham play it short and, rather inexplicably, throw a terrific opportunity to put a cross in to the box from a threatening position away.

    Goal-kick to Buxton.

  15. MK Dons two up over Oldhampublished at 16:15 GMT 6 December 2025

    FA Cup second-round latest

MK Dons have doubled their lead against fellow League Two side Oldham with Liam Kelly firing in an excellent long-range strike to make it 2-0.

Cheltenham have a free-kick on the edge of the box to the right of the Buxton goal.

Threatening position for the Robins here.

  17. goal

GOAL: Swindon 2-0 Boltonpublished at 16:14 GMT 6 December 2025

    Joe Snowdon (55 mins)

Joe Snowdon celebrates scoring Swindon's second goal against BoltonImage source, Rex Features

An upset definitely on the cards now.

Bolton defender Richard Taylor's clearance from the box is so poor that it ends up finding Joe Snowdon in the box.

Snowdon thumps the ball into goal as punishment and it gives Swindon a nice cushion despite a fairly bright start for their trailing visitors in this second-half.

  18. CLOSE!published at 16:13 GMT 6 December 2025

    Cheltenham 1-2 Buxton

    Another good chance for Cheltenham!

A corner goes to the back post and Isaac Hutchinson picks out Robbie Cundy, but the half-time substitution can not keep his header down, and the ball lands on the roof of the net.

Buxton keeper Joe Young then goes down on his own in the penalty area, to the derision of some Cheltenham fans behind the goal.

  19. Vale lead Gas, Mansfield level at Accringtonpublished at 16:11 GMT 6 December 2025

    FA Cup second-round latest

An early goal in the second half at Vale Park and it's Port Vale who have taken the lead against League Two strugglers Bristol Rovers.

The Valiants are rooted to the foot of the League One table after winning promotion last season but maybe some light reprieve for them in the cup today.

Ben Waine has given Darren Moore's side the advantage.

Accrington's potential upset against Mansfield has been very much put on hold as Will Evans has drawn the Stags level.

And Jaze Kabia has added a fourth for Grimsby against Wealdstone. There will be no repeat of last season's heroics for the Stones.

  20. CLOSE!published at 16:11 GMT 6 December 2025

    Cheltenham 1-2 Buxton

Good chance early on for Cheltenham, who continue to look a threat going forward.

Right-back Arkell Jude-Boyd gets to the byeline and picks out Hakeeb Adelakun but somehow, eight yards from goal, the winger volleys the ball out for a throw in to Buxton.

I think Adelakun had more time than he thought.

Moments later, Adelakun is more accurate and his low strike is well kept out by Buxton keeper Joe Young who pushes the ball away for a corner.
