Told Sheffield United have turned down a few offers from other WSL 2 clubs for Amy Andrews in this window.

Believe the club has a year-option clause in her contract, which they can extend in the summer.

She's scored four goals in 14 league games this season.

The reason Man City haven't pushed Chelsea as much as they would have liked to in recent seasons is because Shaw has been injured.

She creates goals and she scores goals. They have to sign her. She will be phenomenal wherever she plays.

    Verdict: Twist!

  3. 'Every team across the world will want to sign her'published at 14:31 GMT 3 February

The fact that Man City are going into the final five months of a contract with their top goal-scorer for the past three years is bizarre. That should have been wrapped up ages ago. There will be options for her come the end of the season. Every team across Europe and the world will want to sign her.

Name a better goal-scorer in Europe at this moment - I reckon you can't. If she was doing the same at Barcelona, she would get the recognition [she deserves].

But because Man City haven't won for a long time, that's why she doesn't get the recognition.

Verdict: Twist - go and win some trophies somewhere else.

Man City's Khadija Shaw is the leading scorer in the WSL this season with 14 goals and four assists in 14 appearances.

But despite her helping City to forge an 11-point lead in the title race, the Jamaica international is into the final months of the contract she signed in 2023.

    Stick or Twist

While we wait for word of more deals before the winter window deadline at 23:00 GMT tonight, how about we look forward to the summer window..?

There's some big names that will be out of contract at the end of this season, with no news yet as to whether they will sign extensions with their current clubs or opt for pastures new.

With the rumour mill churning, we asked BBC Sport pundits and former England internationals Fara Williams and Ellen White for their views on whether the players should 'Stick or Twist'

  6. How do things stand on deadline day?published at 14:16 GMT 3 February

Here's a quick rundown of how things currently stand for each club on deadline day...

We aren't expecting any more business from Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham, Tottenham, Aston Villa or Leicester City.

We're still waiting to see if Chelsea make another move for a midfielder after having a bid turned down by Paris St-Germain for Jennifer Echegini.

Arsenal are expected to sign a goalkeeper and send a couple more players out on loan, while Everton are set to sign Zara Kramzar on loan from Roma.

It seems London City Lionesses are confident they can get one more signing over the line before the window shuts, while it's not clear if Brighton have any last-minute moves planned.

  7. Done deals on deadline daypublished at 14:08 GMT 3 February

It's been a fairly quiet deadline day, but here are all the moves that have happened so far today...

    • West Ham have sold defender Anouk Denton for a club record fee of £200,000 to American side Bay FC.
    • Arsenal midfielder Cecily Wellesley-Smith has joined FC Rosengard on loan.
    • Brighton striker Olivia Johnson has joined Nottingham Forest on loan.
    • Manchester United midfielder Mared Griffiths has joined Sunderland on loan.
    • Liverpool goalkeeper Rafaela Borggrafe has joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan.
    • Tottenham midfielder Anna Csiki has joined Roma on loan.

So, lot's of departures for the WSL sides but no new arrivals. That's not really in the spirit of deadline day, is it?

The countdown is on. There's only nine hours left for clubs to complete any late deals before the window slams shut at 23:00 GMT.

Let's have a quick round up of all today's deals and where things stand for each club...

  9. 'Stanway controls those central areas'published at 13:56 GMT 3 February

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC One WSL coverage

On Georgia Stanway's prospective move to Arsenal this summer:

I think Stanway is a bit more versatile in midfield than we actually perceive her to be. She is that little terrier and does like to make challenges, but she is a smarter player than we probably give her credit for because she plays alongside Keira Walsh for England.

Watching her for Bayern Munich she controls those central areas and can get goals too. It would be fantastic for Arsenal to sign her.

Stanway to Arsenal will be the buy of the season. A buy much needed in a team of too many similar players in little creativity or tackling or good passing, Stanway sees the game play. Is it enough to STOP the repetitive circular possession passing? No.

  11. 'Stanway would offer something different'published at 13:49 GMT 3 February

    Ellen White
Former England striker on BBC One WSL coverage

On Georgia Stanway's prospective move to Arsenal:

I thought she would maybe stay at Bayern Munich for another couple of seasons, but she clearly wants to come to the WSL and try another challenge.

She would offer something different in that [Arsenal] midfield. She is a bit of a terrier and loves a tackle doesn't she? So this is a potentially exciting opportunity for her.

  12. Stanway on the move?published at 13:44 GMT 3 February

No definitive news yet on Georgia Stanway today.

As BBC Sport's Emma Sanders reported earlier, Arsenal are already lining up huge signings for the summer, with England international Stanway close to signing a pre-contract agreement to join when her Bayern Munich deal expires.

  13. Liverpool's new signings much neededpublished at 13:39 GMT 3 February

    Emma Sanders

Liverpool's transfer window has a been a key one for manager Gareth Taylor and they will be happy with their business.

We're not expecting any other additions today but Liverpool have strengthened their attracking options and added some more depth.

Since the arrival of new faces, they have picked up their first WSL win of the season and look more competitive.

They currently sit bottom of the table but a win will take them just a point behind ninth-placed Everton. It's all very tight.

We reported they broke their club record signing to bring in Denise O'Sullivan, while Alice Bergstrom has had an instant impact.

They will be pleased with their work and will fancy their chances of escaping the relegation battle - but the summer transfer window will be equally as important and they are already planning for that.

  14. When is the Asian Cup?published at 13:35 GMT 3 February

The Asian Cup starts in Australia on 1 March and runs until 21 March, so WSL teams could be without some of their players for over three weeks.

Luckily for them, there are only two rounds of WSL fixtures scheduled for March, with an international break planned for the first weekend of the month.

Still, losing players at a crucial time in the season is not what clubs will want.

There's a large contingent of Australian and Japanese players in the WSL, and you'd probably expect those two nations to get to the latter stages of the tournament.

Sooo there’s still a tiny bit of hope for Arsenal to bring in a midfielder!? With losing three players to the Asian Cup it would of been very useful to bring one in now.

    Beth

A very good point, Beth. As Steph Houghton has just alluded to, the Asian Cup starts in March and won't just impact Arsenal.

  17. Why did Man City sign Coffey?published at 13:20 GMT 3 February

The gap is huge at this stage and they're playing with confidence.

Sam Coffey will be a great signing and because Manchester City are in such great form, it has allowed her to bed in and get used to what the manager wants from her. She has international experience and is a more defensive-minded midfielder, which City didn't really have.

The Asia Cup in March will be when she's needed because Yui Hasegawa and Aoba Fujino will be away.

    It's a very shrewd signing.

Get Involved - Do Man City need a new left back?published at 13:16 GMT 3 February

Click 'Get Involved' to have your say

I really want city to sign young, fast and aggressive left back since Leila's contract is expiring this summer and we only have Greenwood for back up.

    Kira, Manchester

I just need a fast and aggressive LB at City.

    Kelly

I want to know if City will do anything else - maybe a left back? Anything coming?

    Lucas

A lot of you are getting in touch about Manchester City's shortages at left-back. As far as I can see, Leila Ouahabi is the only recognised senior left-back in the squad and she has only just returned from injury.

Who would you want to see come in?

  19. Did you expect London City to be more active?published at 13:09 GMT 3 February

The signing of Delphine Cascarino is really good - she's clever, quick and I like watching her play.

London City did a lot of their business in the summer and, having changed managers as well, it's about giving Eder Maestre time to settle and get used to his team.

All the foundations are there for them in the WSL - players are coming in and seeing it as attractive.
