Agree with Alec at 13:21, but let's not forget the players we've still out loan that need to be either reintegrated or somehow offloaded.

I still don’t think we’ve learned enough from Michael Carrick. I think he stocks high in what he’s doing in getting the results but it’s only until Manchester United go through a really difficult spell that we realise how big a football club Manchester United is.

In my opinion I look at Manchester United, I think you need a more experienced, finished article of a manager who’s been there, done that so I would probably say someone like a Unai Emery, that’s the type of manager.

  3. 'The message is clear and they know what to do' - Pereirapublished at 13:28 GMT 1 March

Brighton v Nottingham Forest (14:00 GMT)

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Vitor Pereira, speaking to Sky Sports: "Of course, Stefan Ortega was doing very well, but he got an injury, and it was a big risk to come into this game - it was not possible. For our luck, Sels is in [fit] condition and Sels has experience and today it will be important to have Sels in goal."

On preparing for Premier League and Europa League games: "It is difficult, but this is what we have. It is important to correct things - sometimes it is not possible on the pitch, sometimes we need to do it by video, but in the end the message is clear, and they know what to do. Today we need to be organised tactically and have the true spirit of a team."

Vangelis Marinakis is probably the biggest problem at Nottingham Forest, but people argue he invested money, he brought success back to Forest, but he is not your typical owner and I think that is the problem. I think he is the one that needs to take a step back in what goes on.

Fulham boss Marco Silva, speaking to Sky Sports: "It is always a great opportunity every time you step out on the pitch and put a shirt on during the matchday. We don't prepare our games by looking at the position our opponent is. It is about ourselves and what we have to do. It is important to not underestimate any team in the league."

Dozens of black and white flags have been placed on the seats at both ends of Craven Cottage

In Igor Tudor's first news conference as Tottenham boss last week he said the club only had 13 players fit from the first-team squad, so he will be happy to have defender Pedro Porro back after five weeks out because of a hamstring injury.

Kevin Danso is also on the bench after a toe problem for another defensive option, However, captain Cristian Romero is serving the third game of a four-match ban following his red card against Manchester United with midfielder Joao Palhinha, who spent two years at Fulham, again having to operate as an emergency centre-half.

But the Spurs injury list is still a lengthy one, with Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Wilson Odobert and Destiny Udogie all unavailable.

Nevertheless, injuries or not, every Tottenham fan would have expected them to be higher than 16th. A failure to win today would mean Spurs have not won in 10 league matches. The last time that happened was in January to March 1994, when Ossie Ardiles was in charge.

  8. Sesko 'building belief and confidence' - Carrickpublished at 13:19 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (12:30 GMT)

    Manchester United

Man Utd boss Michael Carrick, speaking to Sky Sports: "I think Ben [Sesko] has been in a good spot and a good feeling for a number of weeks - it is building that belief and confidence.

"Looking forward to seeing him today and Amad is a good option for us to finish the game.

"It is great to have those options."

On Lisandro Martinez's injury update: "We will have to wait and see. He is close and he is not far away, but it is hard to say at the moment."

On aiming for a top four finish: "Every game from now on is going to be significant, it doesn't really change it. Today is a tough game."

It was a bit of a surprise Benjamin Sesko did not start for Manchester United at Everton on Monday night.

However, after following up his injury-time equaliser at West Ham by scoring the winner at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, today he gets his chance.

It is the first selection change Michael Carrick has made to his starting line-up since he was appointed head coach until the end of the season in January.

The only other times he has altered his starting line-up in the last six games were due to injuries to Patrick Dorgu and Lisandro Martinez.

  10. 'Every win helps to bring confidence back'published at 13:15 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to Sky Sports: "We could see and feel it at the training ground - the players are more positive now. Every win helps to bring confidence back. It is going in the right direction."

On Evann Guessand being on the bench: "He hasn't played so many minutes before he arrived and two games within three days. I expect an intense game today and a lot of running, so yes, I'm giving him a rest. Brennan [Johnson] did very well in training and I think the game could suit him."

  11. 'The belief is coming back'published at 13:13 GMT 1 March

Brighton v Nottingham Forest (14:00 GMT)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, speaking to PLP: "Every win gives yourself confidence and after a difficult run it is always important to have good experiences and good feelings after a game.

"The atmosphere is changing in the locker room and the training ground - the belief is coming back."

"It is crucial we build on a stable foundation. Overall, we are looking for a good and stable starting 11 - that is why we choose this starting 11 again."

On Solly March's return to the matchday squad: "If a player is in the squad, then he is always an option to come on the pitch. He seems to be in a really good shape."

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Sports News Reporter at Old Trafford

Crystal Palace wide-man Brennan Johnson does not have to look back too far to find a very happy memory from a game against Manchester United.

Johnson scored the winner for Tottenham in the Europa League final against United in Bilbao last May.

Sadly for Johnson, he didn't win over new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank and joined Palace for a club record £35m at the beginning of January.

Johnson is yet to score in 11 appearances for his new club. Today would be a good time to start.

  13. Pereira 'is a shrewd appointment' at Forestpublished at 13:09 GMT 1 March

Brighton v Nottingham Forest (14:00 GMT)

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Vitor Pereira is a good manager.

Look at what Pereira did when he went into Wolves. He is an experienced manager and he is a great coach. He took a very average team [Al Shabab Club] to the top of the Saudi Pro League, and he is a student of the game.

The immediate impact he had at Wolves and the coach that he is, I think it is a shrewd appointment.

The Forest job is not the safest job in the world, but it is in safe hands at the moment.

Igor Tudor began with a London derby in his first game in charge of Tottenham, losing 4-1 at home against Arsenal, and now he has another one in match number two.

Despite progressing well in the Champions League, Spurs are having an awful campaign in the Premier League, sitting 16th and only four points above West Ham in 18th, although the Hammers have played a game more.

But Tudor will be looking for three points today and then again in another London derby on Thursday when Tottenham entertain Crystal Palace to ease their relegation fears before their next European action.

It won't be easy though against a Fulham side that have won seven of 13 league games at Craven Cottage, with Marco Silva's team 10th in the table and in with a chance of playing in Europe for the first time since 2011-12.

  17. Spurs winless in ninepublished at 13:01 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

There's no doubt about it - with 11 games remaining, Tottenham Hotspur are in a relegation battle.

Spurs are without a Premier League win in 2026 after losing five and drawing four of their past nine games.

Thomas Frank paid with his job, but new boss Igor Tudor could do nothing to prevent his side from losing 4-1 to arch-rivals Arsenal last weekend.

Five of Spurs' seven league wins this term have come away from home - another one today would give a massive boost to their survival hopes.

  18. Forest players complained about Dyche to Marinakispublished at 12:58 GMT 1 March

Brighton v Nottingham Forest (14:00 GMT)

    Darren Fletcher
    BBC Radio 5 Live Presenter

It is no secret that the players [at Nottingham Forest] went to the owner to complain about the previous manager [Sean Dyche]. The consensus is that Ange Postecoglou was a Vangelis Marinakis appointment, and a Marinakis decision that, after 12 games, it wasn't going to work.

The situation with Sean Dyche was that a group of players went to see the owner and said they weren't happy. They said they were tired because they were being overtrained tactically. They didn't think it was right.

I am led to believe that there have been some choice words after from the owner to the players to say, 'You boxed me into a corner - I didn't have a choice here, but to get rid of the manager and this is now on you. If you get relegated, there will be consequences as this is on your head.'

Michael Carrick hands a starting spot to Benjamin Sesko following the Slovenian’s match winner at Everton on Monday.

Fulham are favourites in this one, but don't expect the Cottagers to make a fast start.

Since Christmas, 12 of Fulham’s 14 Premier League goals have been scored in the second half of matches. Their only first half goal in their last seven games was an own goal by Everton’s Vitalii Mykolenko, with Fulham players having 42 shots and accumulating an xG of 4.45 without scoring in the past seven first halves.
