  1. Will the outlook be brighter for Tottenham?published at 13:58 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Tottenham (14:00 GMT)

    BBC Sport at Craven Cottage

It is a cold, cloudy and bleak day by the Thames, although the drizzle has at least stopped, but will the outlook look brighter for Tottenham at 4pm?

Igor Tudor defiantly said he was "100%" sure his side would stay up in his first news conference as manager last week, although a second-half capitulation at home against leaders Arsenal last week may have shaken that confidence somewhat.

But it is not full-blown panic at Tottenham just yet. Win today and they're seven clear of the relegation zone. Another loss though and those worries will be increasing.

  2. 'Great attitude, great quality'published at 13:57 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

BBC Sport Chief Sports News Reporter at Old Trafford

Manchester United boss Michael Carrick reflects on Benjamin Sesko's winner in his programme notes today.

With the brilliant long pass from Matheus Cunha and control, run and pass from Bryan Mbeumo that set up Sesko for the first-time finish, Carrick feels the goal summed up the togetherness in his team.

"Ben’s goal was brilliantly taken," he said.

"It’s been great to see him get the rewards he deserves for his work ethic and dedication.

"I thought Matheus’ role in the goal summed up a lot of what is good about the group right now: great attitude, great quality.

"Our willingness to fight and sacrifice for each other, backed by another superb away following, ensured we won the game."

  3. Fulham pushing for Europepublished at 13:56 GMT 1 March

After a run of four defeats in five Premier League games, Fulham got their push for European football back on track with an impressive 3-1 win away at Sunderland last weekend.

Today's match begins a run of four league games against sides in the bottom five of the table, so Marco Silva will be targeting maximum points.

Three points today will move Fulham within three points of seventh place, which could end up being enough for place in the Uefa Conference League.

  5. Carrick v Glasnerpublished at 13:52 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Sports News Reporter at Old Trafford

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is second favourite for the permanent Manchester United manager's role with most bookmakers, despite a troubled campaign in which he has openly criticised his club's board, lost in the FA Cup to non-league Macclesfield and fallen out with supporters amid a struggling Premier League campaign.

Interim United boss Michael Carrick is now the favourite, thanks to five wins and a draw from his six games in charge.

Carrick is not one to court headlines at the best of times.

Predicatably, he said there is no personal element to his preparations at all.

"It is not something that would cross my mind until you mentioned it," he said, when he spoke to the media on Friday.

  6. 'Let him get on with what he does'published at 13:51 GMT 1 March

Man United v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester United are looking like they’re going to finish in a Champions League place and if Michael Carrick does that then this conversation can be opened but at the moment he’s in a job until the end of the season.

That’s what’s they’ve employed them for, he’s doing incredibly well, probably better than they or anyone could have expected. Leave him, let him get on with what he does and have this conversation at the end of the season.

Surprised Sesko is starting. He has been the perfect super sub and don’t see why we needed to change that dynamic. His pressing and general hold up play needs work and that’s what you need from a front-man for 70 minutes. Hope I’m wrong…

  8. Palace looking for second win in a rowpublished at 13:49 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

Palace aren't enjoying the best of seasons but they do come into this one off the back of a win.

Can they make it two on the spin?

  9. 'Tudor needs warriors'published at 13:48 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

    Nigel Reo-Coker
Former Aston Villa midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

    It is bonkers.

That is why I question this appointment. Igor Tudor has no real history or understanding of the Premier League. Listening to his pre-match interview when he's going around in circles.

He needs to realise that he is in a relegation fight.

Forget style, the word style should not come into it. He needs warriors. For me, it was not a great time for Thomas Frank, but I still felt if Tottenham had stayed with Frank because of knowledge of the Premier League, they would have got the job done.

It wouldn't have been a great season, but I would have felt more confident that he would have kept them up.

  10. Aiming for thirdpublished at 13:47 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Sports News Reporter at Old Trafford

I doubt anyone connected with Manchester United thought less than two months after axing Ruben Amorim, they would be playing Crystal Palace at Old Trafford knowing victory would take them third.

Five wins and a draw from six games in charge is an impressive return for Michael Carrick, who is doing his chances of landing the manager's job on a full-time basis no harm at all.

With Villa out of form and Chelsea playing Arsenal later this afternoon before facing Unai Emery's men on Wednesday, three more points today against Palace would put United in a very strong position to seal a return to the Champions League next season.

  11. Tudor needs turnaroundpublished at 13:46 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

    Igor TudorImage source, Getty Images

Igor Tudor sat in the Spurs dugout for the first time last weekend, and saw his side lost 4-1 to North London rivals Arsenal.

The Croat will be desperate to avoid becoming only the second Tottenham boss to lose his first two games in charge after Martin Jol.

If he does, then Spurs will go 10 Premier League matches without victory for the first time since doing so between January and March 1994 under Ossie Ardiles.

A heavy defeat today would see Tudor become the first manager in Premier League history to concede four or more goals in his opening two matches.

  12. 'Lack of effort, application, enthusiasm'published at 13:45 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Not overly convinced with what I saw against Arsenal from Tottenham. There was no real change. There was a lack of effort, application, enthusiasm from the players. There is only so much a manager can do with a pack of cards that he is dealt.

  13. 'Difficult to buy into someone'published at 13:44 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Myself and Paul Robinson had Jacques Santini when he came into the club at Tottenham, and it is so difficult in a different language to buy into someone when you don't know what they are necessarily going to bring.

Again, it is all words. It is about different scenarios and different situations and it felt like that was the Spurs side we were watching. They came up a determined Arsenal side, who were going to test you in all areas. Did we see enough? No we didn't.

  14. Postpublished at 13:43 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

Fulham will be feeling confident today.

They have won three of their past four Premier League games against Spurs (one draw), as many as they had in their previous 26 (six draws and 17 defeats).

Victory today would see the Cottagers complete the league double over Spurs for just the second time in their history, after the 2003-04 Premier League campaign.

  15. Brighton looking for run of winspublished at 13:42 GMT 1 March

Brighton v Nottingham Forest (14:00 GMT)

One win in six matches has seen Brighton slide down the Premier League table, but they did take a brilliant three points away at Brentford last time out.

Will that win spur Fabian Hurzeler's men on to put a run of wins together?

  16. Travis Binnion is making an impactpublished at 13:41 GMT 1 March

Man Utd v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Sports News Reporter at Old Trafford

Had events not taken a different course, Travis Binnion would have been preparing Manchester United's Under-21 side for their Premier League 2 game against Chelsea at Leigh tomorrow.

As it is, Binnion is on the pitch at Old Trafford helping the pre-match session. Just before kick-off, he will dash up into the stands and sit with the analysts, feeding information back to the bench before heading to the dressing rooms at half-time and then coming back again.

Michael Carrick was asked about Binnion in his press conference on Friday.

It seems the former Derby defender is concentrating on United's forwards.

"Trav has done quite a bit of work with the forwards," said Carrick.

"Sometimes it's as a unit, sometimes as a group, sometimes as individuals. It's just constant really, trying to keep improving."

  17. 'Spiralling out of control' since Levy left Spurspublished at 13:40 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Spurs (14:00 GMT)

    Darren Fletcher
    BBC Radio 5 Live Presenter

I don't know who has been running the ship since Daniel Levy went, but it seems relatively rudderless at the moment.

There doesn't seem to be any coincidence that it is spiralling out of control since they made that change.

The fans didn't want Levy either. Let's not forget that, then they didn't want Thomas Frank. Do they liquidate the board at Spurs and do a poll every week?

It is a dangerous game to play.

  18. Forest aiming for first league win under Pereirapublished at 13:38 GMT 1 March

Brighton v Nottingham Forest (14:00 GMT)

The Vitor Pereira era at the City Ground kicked off in the Premier League last weekend with a narrow defeat to Liverpool.

Forest were the better side for much of the game, so will fancy themselves at Brighton today.

If the rumours around Forest are true, and player power resulted in the sacking of Sean Dyche, then what has football come to? Can you imagine Ferguson, Shankly, or Clough, allowing this to happen? Players today are exceptionally well paid, and should have no complaints about being worked too hard.

  20. 'We are happy that Solanke is back'published at 13:34 GMT 1 March

    Fulham v Tottenham (14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor, speaking to Sky Sports: "Doing the right things and what we prepared on the training. It is key to start on the basics, not concede a goal, run, and fight.

"They [Fulham] are a good quality team with good players and a good coach."

On Dominic Solanke starting: "Fantastic player, so we missed him for a long period of the year, so we are happy that he is back."
