Yoro is more interested in pushing, rather than marking his man or heading the ball.

It is early doors in this game and Man Utd are hesitant about whether they should go and squeeze or not. They have to settle down quickly and look more assured on the ball.

  5. Glasner's side aheadpublished at 14:08 GMT 1 March

    Man Utd 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport Chief Sports News Reporter at Old Trafford

There was so much debate about the merits, or otherwise, of Ruben Amorim's preferred formation during his time at Old Trafford.

One of the reasons Oliver Glasner was linked with the Manchester United job was because he had success in England and elsewhere with the same system.

Now one of his three central defenders has just scored.

Leny Yoro was shoved out of the way far too easily then and Maxence Lacroix just guided his header through bodies and into the far corner.

    Fulham take an early lead!

Kenny Tete has plenty of time and space to clip a cross into the box.

Oscar Bobb collects the ball at the far post and clips is back into the danger area, where Harry Wilson is waiting to hook the ball past Guglielmo Vicario.

Spurs aren't happy - they think Raul Jimenez shoved Radu Dragusin as he rose to flick on the initial cross.

The VAR has a look, but the goal stands.

    Diego Gomez (6 mins)

Neco Williams is weak in his defending and the ball drops really nicely on the bounce for Diego Gomez to strike.

He hits it so cleanly across goal but Matz Sels has got to be saving that.

Not looking for a performance from Spurs, just the result. I'll happily take Big Sam football if it means staying up.

It's a great header from Maxence Lacroix but you have to question what Leny Yoro is doing.

You cannot allow your opposite number push you around if you're a big centre-half like Leny Yoro.

Maxence Lacroix pushes Yoro away and he has no idea where he is!

What a start for the Eagles.

  20. 'He’s not going anywhere'published at 13:59 GMT 1 March

Man United v Crystal Palace (14:00 GMT)

    Paul Robinson
Former Leeds goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Michael Carrick's done extremely well since he’s gone in there. He’s put players in the right positions, he’s got them facing the right way and he’s got results. He’s been employed until the end of the season, what’s the clamour, what’s the rush?

He’s not going anywhere. There’s nobody that’s going to come and take him before the end of the season, there’s nobody that’s going to offer him a job at the end of the season that’s going to eclipse the Manchester United job.

He will be in a position at the end of the season to have that conversation, as will Manchester United depending on where they finish.
