I think the weather conditions will play into how the game plays out. There will be tackles flying in on this greasy surface. Forest are the team that have settled better into the game, very assured in possession.

It's time for Aston Villa to enjoy a bit of the ball and take the sting out of this terrific atmosphere.

    Sunderland 0-0 Spurs

Roberto De Zerbi is already cutting an animated figure clad all in black. He collapsed on to his haunches after a very tame finish from Richarlison.

He was even dishing out orders to his new charges as they lined up to kick-off.

Now that is what you do with a goalkeeper that is under a little bit of pressure. Just ask him a few questions early on. Xhaka has deliberately done that. He is asking the keeper, 'are you ready for it?'

  5. Postpublished at 14:07 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Sunderland's Granit Xhaka almost scores from the corner. He swings this one in and Antonin Kinsky palms it over the bar before it drops in.

The resulting corner by Enzo le Fee is cleared.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

Newcastle are camped deep with all 11 players behind the ball as Crystal Palace probe for an early breakthrough.

But 22-year-old William Osula, making a rare start, almost gets behind the Palace backline latching onto a pass from Joelinton - first signs of a threat from Newcastle today.

  7. Postpublished at 14:07 BST 12 April

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Aston Villa

Morgan Gibbs-White twists and turns at the edge of the Villa penalty area and finally gets a left-footed shot away, but Pau Torres blocks and the visitors clear.

  8. 'Richarlison getting a lot of space'published at 14:06 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stadium of Light

Richarlison has got himself into two brilliant positions so far, before mishitting a pass and then hitting a poor shot. He seems to be getting a lot of space on that left hand side.

  9. Postpublished at 14:06 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Now Sunderland have a corner, the first of the game. They might want to put the keeper under pressure.

  10. Postpublished at 14:05 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs' second chance of the game. Good pace by Randal Kolo Muani to run through the middle and then lay it off for Richarlison, whose shot is pretty weak and saved by Robin Roefs.

Roberto de Zerbi does a tiny frustration leap.

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Aston Villa

John McGinn looks to place a shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box after a sustained spell of Aston Villa possession, but the Villa skipper's effort goes wide.

It is absolutely tipping it down at the City Ground, which makes for less than idea conditions for today's goalkeepers.

Villa goalkeeper Marco Bizot was a late addition to the starting XI after Emi Martinez withdrew at the last minute. He'll be hoping the wet conditions don't cause him trouble.

Ceiron: Kinsky is in an awful situation. Was hard done by but now has to sink or swim to either redeem himself and save his Spurs career or virtually no way back in confidence or belief at Spurs. Really feel for him as a neutral.

  14. Postpublished at 14:04 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Spurs keeper Antonin Kinsky slips as he kicks the ball away but he got such distance on it that it didn't really matter in the end.

Newcastle looking for a response at Selhurst Park after their 2-1 defeat by Sunderland before the international break.

But it's Crystal Palace who have started the brighter of the two sides in front of their fans, despite making five changes.

  16. Postpublished at 14:02 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Decent move by Spurs, then a lucky ricochet, and Pedro Porro's effort from the corner of the box is straight at Robin Roefs.

  17. Postpublished at 14:02 BST 12 April

    Nottingham Forest 0-0 Aston Villa

Amadou Onana takes a heavy touch at the edge of the Villa penalty area and Omari Hutchinson pounces on it, but the Forest forward is crowded out and Villa clear.

James C: Spurs will start brightly... And then Sunderland will pick us apart. Oh and obviously Xhaka will score.

  19. Postpublished at 14:02 BST 12 April

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham keeper Antonín Kinsky gets an early couple of touches of the ball under no pressure. I'm sure he'll be desperate for no drama here today.

  20. 'It's underwhelming'published at 14:01 BST 12 April

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

    Julien Laurens
ESPN journalist on BBC Radio 5 Live

Maybe it is too harsh, but when you have a step forward like last season, finally winning a trophy after a long time, this season feels like a step back for Newcastle.

You have that history and you also qualify for the Champions League, and then you go back to having an average season. It's underwhelming. Until they have that consistency it is going to be very hard for the fans to be happy with what they see on the pitch.
