    Crystal Palace 0-0 Chelsea

A half chance for Palace, this time after an error from Moises Caicedo, but the cross is always behind Jean-Philippe Mateta and he can't readjust in time to send the header at Robert Sanchez's goal.

Joelinton, like Romero, is such a liability. I think the negative outputs outweigh the positive outputs.

Forest are really playing well, they have so much fluidity and Brentford just can't handle it.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Chelsea

Ismaila Sarr gets ahead of Marc Cucurella but can't steer a light contact goalwards. But Palace are still creating chances. A good game brewing at Selhurst Park.

This is not good. Joelinton goes right over the top and gets Matty Cash as well. It's a double hit by Joelinton.

Amadou Onana and Matty Cash are both down for Aston Villa and VAR are checking this to see just what Joelinton's involvement in that was.

The Newcastle midfielder was stretching going into both challenges and looks like his nicks both players.

It'll be a yellow card for the Brazil international.

On Andrey Santos' defending to deny Brennan Johnson...

Brilliant from all parties there. Muñoz's ball is exceptional, Brennan Johnson is about to let loose, but Santos gets there resulting in a last-ditch diving effort. Really well defended.

Yet another goal of the month contender from Aston Villa's rejuvenated Emi Buendia. Can see him linking up really well with Messi in the World Cup. UTV

    Brentford 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Michael Kayode's long throw, as it has often done this season, causes chaos in the opponent's penalty area, with Forest keeper Matz Sels flapping at the ball under pressure.

Luckily for Forest, they get a free-kick for a high boot offence with a stooping Morgan Gibbs-White lucky to not get a kick in the face.

You wouldn't think the manager was leaving, the best defender had been sold and there are rumours circling around the star striker.

Palace's supporters have been very upbeat and are pushing for some points here against Chelsea.

All those real off-field issues have been impressively put aside.

What a beauty by Buendia. I’m not a Villa fan but that was top drawer.

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

    Ciaran Kelly
BBC Sport reporter at St James' Park

Aston Villa supporters have had some tough afternoons at St James' Park over the years.

They have not seen their side win here since 2005.

But they're enjoying this visit as they repeatedly sing the name of goalscorer Emiliano Buendia following that superb opener against Newcastle United.

"He's five foot seven, he's football heaven, please don't take my Emi away," the away end repeatedly sing.

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at St James' Park

    What a goal this is!

Emi Buendia's been on that left-hand side and he drifts across. As soon as he gets it out of his feet, he hits it across Nick Pope but it has a funny dip. It carries and goes right into the far corner. Pope is looking at it thinking 'no chance'.

What a goal to take the lead.

    Emiliano Buendia

Superb finish to a lovely passage of play from Aston Villa. Emiliano Buendia picks up the ball about 25 yards out, takes two or three strides forward and then curls a wonderful effort into the top left corner.
