  2. Estevao Willian is the differencepublished at 14:50 GMT 25 January

    HT: Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport Chelsea reporter

Teen sensation Estevao Willian has been the difference for Chelsea in a tight game against Crystal Palace.

There has been little between the two sides, but the youngster — deputising for the still‑injured Cole Palmer — has provided the decisive moment.

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior must be considering taking off Moises Caicedo after he was booked and then made a further foul moments later. One more mistimed tackle and he will likely be sent off.

  3. Postpublished at 14:50 GMT 25 January

    Brentford 0-1 Nottingham Forest

A cross from the right for Brentford takes a massive deflection and nearly catches out Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels, who has to leap up to push the ball over his own bar. Almost a fortunate equaliser.

  4. Postpublished at 14:49 GMT 25 January

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

A dreadful pass from Ollie Watkins means Jadon Sancho's supporting run is wasted. That was a decent chance for Aston Villa to have an effort on goal.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:49 GMT 25 January

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea

Estevao's excellent goal, when he ran from the halfway line before finishing, is the difference. Crystal Palace left to rue their missed chances.

  6. 'Really good finish'published at 14:47 GMT 25 January

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea and Fulham goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra at Selhurst Park

    On the Chelsea goal...

Great finish from Estêvão. Yes, he gets the opportunity by being played in by a Crystal Palace player but he still has a race on. He's got to take control of the ball, he's got to keep it under control, he's got to get past Tyrick Mitchell.

He comes across the face of the goal and then smashes it past Dean Henderson and into the roof of the net. Really good play and a really good finish.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelsea

Estevao already has one superb solo goal when running from the halfway line and he almost does it again. Once more he is too quick for the desperate home defence, but this time the finish is not there as he lashes the ball wide of the post.

What a talent the 18-year-old Brazilian is though. He's giving Palace nightmares.

  8. 'Huge save'published at 14:45 GMT 25 January

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at St James' Park

Huge save. It's a great header.

It's a great counter-attack, Lewis Miley is beyond the penalty spot and it's going right into the top corner. Emi Martinez is at full stretch.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:44 GMT 25 January

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

A brilliant save from Emiliano Martinez prevents Newcastle midfielder Lewis Miley from levelling the scores with a header from Anthony Gordon's inswinging cross from the left.

  10. Postpublished at 14:43 GMT 25 January

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

A lovely Cruyff turn in midfield from Villa's Emiliano Buendia sends Joelinton and Lewis Miley completely the wrong way.

The Argentine then collects the ball again a few moments later and zings a 25-yeard effort well wide.

This is typical of Palace. Get the best of the game and contain Chelsea, only to squander several chances and then go behind. We have to get something today, or we're in danger of seeing our season collapse.

Canvot must you pass back, at least have some awareness. You just cost your team a goal.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 14:41 GMT 25 January

    Brentford 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Keith Andrews is forced into a double substitution late in the first half as both Kristoffer Ajer and Mikkel Damsgaard suffer knee injuries in separate incidents.

Ayer's, a problem with his left knee after landing badly following a challenge, looks the worse one and he is slowly helped off by a member of the Brentford medical team. Sepp van den Berg and Dango Ouattara are the two to come on.

  13. 'Newcastle have gone off the boil here'published at 14:40 GMT 25 January

    Newcastle 0-1 Aston Villa

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at St James' Park

Aston Villa are sitting in and waiting then they create a good counter-attack. They've done it a few times. It's really slick.

Newcastle have just gone off the boil after a good start.

  14. Postpublished at 14:39 GMT 25 January

A swift counter from the visitors almost ends with left-back Ian Maatsen in on goal but Nick Pope is out of his area to clear the ball just in the nick of time.

GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-1 Chelseapublished at 34 mins

    Estevao

Chelsea strike first after an error from Crystal Palace.

Jaydee Canvot makes a loose pass inside the Chelsea half and Estevao, picking up the ball just inside his own half, is too fast for the chasing Tyrick Mitchell. Estevao then gets into the penalty area and fires past Dean Henderson for a fine solo goal.

Surely Joelinton should be getting a red. Yet another "early" challenge that doesn't get penalised properly and Villa pay the price one again.
