  2. 'Not a performance to be sad about' - Mitovpublished at 22:55 GMT 11 December 2025

    FT: Aberdeen 0-1 Strasbourg

Aberdeen goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov tells TNT Sports: "It's a really tough one to take, you never want to lose games of football and certainly not at home.

"They are a very good team, a very good footballing side who play well, but I thought we played well, especially in the first half. We created enough chances to score.

"But, if you don't score, you don't win. However, this is something to build on, we have more than enough good enough players to score goals.

"We are growing as a team, as a collective. We're playing for each other and creating chances. So, if we keep doing that, keep scoring, keep winning games and we'll keep moving up the league table this season.

"This is not a performance to be sad about, we can take so many positives from it."

  3. 'We're a different team' - Thelinpublished at 22:53 GMT 11 December 2025

    FT: Aberdeen 0-1 Strasbourg

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells TNT Sports: "I want to look back on the whole competition and see how much we've grown, we're more mature, more stable and creating good chances.

"It's the most important thing, how the team have grown. Strasbourg are a really good team, but we had some good chances in the first half from set-pieces while Marko [Lazetic] was so close, but they have a really good goalkeeper.

"It was a tight game, a good game, but it's small margins at this level. In tight games, you have to use the opportunities you create and they were sharper than us.

"I'm really proud of my players, they're a different kind of team to the one who started this competition.

"Now, we have to be here every year, that's how you improve, how players learn."

  5. ICYMI: Rohl 'angry' about Rangers errorspublished at 22:49 GMT 11 December 2025

    FT: Ferencvaros 2-1 Rangers

    Danny RohlImage source, SNS

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl: "Honestly, I'm very angry about our conceded goals. This is the disappointment for me. We played a solid first half, go in the lead - exactly what you want. Go in with a lead and they have to open more and more. Then the first conceded goal.

"Second half, we missed so many transition moments, and the second goal is too easy. These are the parts at the moment where we are not clinical enough.

"For the second game in the row in this competition, I see a team who is competitive and a team in a process forward, but I see a team, especially in this competition, destroy the hard work in two, three situations.

"To take something you have to be sharp for 90 minutes, 95 minutes in every duel. The chance was on today to win this game.

"I am angry about two or three mistakes, this is hard to take. From tomorrow we have to focus on big games in the league.

"What happens in the next two games is not a topic for me today. We will see what happens in this competition.

"All in all, Manny [Fernandez] and Nasser [Djiga], I see big steps forward. I am more angry about how we have our position for the long ball. I will never blame one player for one action.

"We have to be angry today. A big topic was game management and today in two, three moments, it was not right. This is what we have to learn.

"Bojan [Miovski] got a kick, but it could be a bit more."

Nancy needs to start winning games, he's the manager of Celtic.

Every time I watch Celtic, they don't have that intensity from 12 months ago.

I want to see them on the front foot every time, especially at home.

  11. 'We couldn't cope with intensity' - Nancypublished at 22:33 GMT 11 December 2025

    FT: Celtic 0-3 Roma

Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy tells TNT Sports: "The reality is we were not able to cope with the intensity. First half was difficult, we were not able to come out of the pressure.

"It wasn't easy for my players. I don't like to talk about luck. The first goal didn't help us.

"Second half was better. I cannot tell you [the players] didn't try, they tried. I'm not concerned, I really liked the reaction. They deserve at least to score one goal and the dynamic could change.

"The result isn't what we want but I've seen good things. I would like the results to change today. This is a bit difficult because my players deserve a bit more. The belief of my players is really strong.

"I respect the fans, they are really important for us. We play for them. I know where we are going. I can see a lot of good things. I believe in what we do."

It's not easy for a new manager and new system, but it's not rocket science.

Kelechi Iheanacho came on and did what I expected from a Celtic player. It stood out but it shouldn't stand out.

[Wilfried Nancy's] got to learn quick. Sunday is huge now. I don't know if he knows what he's walked into.

Celtic midfielder Arne Engels tells TNT Sports: "It wasn't good enough, especially first half, lost too many duels and too many sloppy balls. We can do much better.

"It's up to us to react. We need to look to ourselves to keep performing."
