  1. 'Huge three points for Leicester'published at 17:04 GMT 13 December 2025

    FT: Leicester 3-1 Ipswich

    Matt Piper
Former Foxes winger on BBC Radio Leicester

It's a huge three points for this team. Seven points out the past three games now.

The team played really well in the first half, we started aggressively and we came out on the front foot. The stadium was really bouncing from that second goal, it's one of the best goals I've seen at the King Power over the years.

They started the second half pushing for the third goal and they managed to kill the game, that third goal really sealed it for us.

I'm super proud of the team and the manager.

    Wrexham 2-2 Watford

Ollly Rathbone's stoppage-time equaliser rescues a point for Wrexham who avoid back-to-back defeats for only the second time this season.

It's a fourth draw in six for the Red Dragons.

But agony for Watford who came from behind to lead and seemed to be heading for just a second away win of the campaign.

They then had boss Javi Gracia sent off in the sixth minute of stoppage-time.

It's a fifth stalemate in their past eight matches for the Hornets.

  3. 'Bristol City can hold their heads high'published at 17:01 GMT 13 December 2025

    FT: Coventry 1-0 Bristol City

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

They can go away from here and hold their heads up high. They deserved something out of the game for me.

City had a right go in the second half, three golden opportunities. They'll be walking back off the pitch disappointed with the fact they didn't get anything out of the game.

    Portsmouth 2-1 Blackburn

    An enormous win for Portsmouth!

Pompey move out of the Championship bottom three courtesy of their comeback win over Blackburn.

That victory bridges what was a five-point gap on their opponents to just two, with injury-hit Callum Lang nabbing the winner in front of a joyous Fratton Park.

    Millwall 1-3 Hull

Hull earn an impressive win over Millwall to dent the hosts' recent run.

Kyle Joseph's double and Oli McBurnie's effort did the damage for the visitors, however Millwall did threaten an unlikely comeback when Aidomo Emakhu scored shortly after Femi Azeez's sending off.

    Leicester 3-1 Ipswich

That's a game which will be remembered for Abdul Fatawu's goal from his own half which put Leicester 2-0 up.

That was after a Bobby De Cordova-Reid rasper had given them an early lead.

Jordan Ayew added a third for the Foxes against a disappointing Ipswich side who were gifted their goal when Jens Cajuste made the most of some awful home defending.

Leicester have taken seven points from a possible nine in the week - corner turned?

Ipswich's week ends poorly after wins over Coventry and Stoke.

    Birmingham 1-1 Charlton

    All over at St Andrew's.

Charlton fight back to earn a point against Birmingham to end their dismal losing run.

Blues will feel they should have steered out victory against their out-of-form opponents to banish the demons of their agonising late defeat by QPR in midweek but alas, it was not to be.

  8. 'Boro by far the better side'published at 16:57 GMT 13 December 2025

    FT: Middlesbrough 3-1 QPR

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

We were by far the better side.

Not once did I feel QPR were ever going to get back into the game. Once again, the team has turned up and got the result that was needed. There's been some real quality brought into the club, hats off to the recruitment team.

We look to go again against Bristol City next week.

Middlesbrough continue to fly under Kim Hellberg as they notch up a fourth win out of four under their new boss.

QPR gave them a few scares, but they were never really in touch after Boro raced into a deserved 3-0 lead early in the second half.

That makes it 11 goals in that run. And they had two disallowed this afternoon.

Boro are now seven points clear in the automatic spots and stay within five points of Coventry.

  10. goal

GOAL: Wrexham 2-2 Watfordpublished at 16:54 GMT 13 December 2025

    Oliver Rathbone (90+2 mins)

    Super sub!!!

Josh Windass clips in a corner to Oliver Rathbone who had been on the pitch for just a few minutes.

He drills in a fine left-footed finish to draw the hosts level.

    Time for a winner?

    Coventry 1-0 Bristol City

Ephron Mason-Clark celebrates scoringImage source, PA

Coventry grab the three points thanks to Ephron Mason-Clark's close-range effort in the second half but they were made to work for it.

Sinclair Armstrong hit the post, had a goal disallowed and was denied by Carl Rushworth.

Haji Wright also hit the post and Radek Vitek saved well from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Mason-Clark.

Coventry were indebted to Rushworth in the final moments when he brilliantly saved from Fally Mayulu at point-blank range.

The Sky Blues stay five points clear at the top but the visitors may feel hard done by.

Demarai Gray tests Thomas Kaminski with a pearler of a free-kick for Birmingham but the Charlton keeper is wise to it.

Not much longer left at St Andrew's.

  14. 'What a save Rushworth'published at 16:50 GMT 13 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Bristol City

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

It's brilliant from Adam Randell, you think it's got to be a goal for Mayulu but what a save from Rushworth!

I can't believe he saved it. He strikes it well and Rushworth's instinctive reaction manages to keep it out.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:50 GMT 13 December 2025

    Coventry 1-0 Bristol City

Take a bow Carl Rushworth as he keeps Coventry ahead.

Adam Randell sends in a cross and Rushworth's reflexes are superb to deny Fally Mayulu.

Brilliant from the Sky Blues goalkeeper.

  16. Postpublished at 16:49 GMT 13 December 2025
