Simply cannot comprehend how average Chelsea are having spent so much on this squad.

Leverkusen had a good start to this half, they had 10 minutes where they were doing very well. Didn't get anything when they had the chance and then Declan Rice scores. They are just probing at the ball, we need to see something from them.

Jarell Quansah finds himself in the middle of the Arsenal penalty area, but the glancing header is always going wide of goal with Leverkusen denied a way back into this tie.

At the other end, Janis Blaswich continues his own personal good performance by raising the fists to punch away a fierce Bukayo Saka shot.

Back-to-back seasons without making the quarter-finals of Europe's most prestigious competition. That's not good enough if you're Manchester City, is it?

I am yet to see Leverkusen with any cutting edge. Schick is more experienced in front of goal but I haven't seen them be dangerous in either leg.

Two goals from them, from how the game's gone for them, would be a real surprise.

PSG are surely the favourites to win the Champions League again this season.

Arsenal spring a counter-attack and they have an overload, but the ball goes to Cristhian Mosquera and he is not the man you want in this situation as the shot is weak and straight at Janis Blaswich.

  11. 'Real Madrid aren't even trying to score'published at 21:32 GMT 17 March

Man City 1-1 Real Madrid (1-4 agg)

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live at the Ethiad Stadium

It's very difficult for Manchester City, Real Madrid are just doing a job, they're not even trying to score.

They're not really to intent on creating. They can burst into life but even then they're passing the ball about looking for the perfect opportunity, just making the clock go down. Brilliant play.

This is where the new system doesn't quite work. I'm a Liverpool fan and it worked against us last season. They need to seed teams like the NFL where it changes based on the league table before the play off marches to make it worth finishing top eight.
