Marmoush is in a really good position here. Koulibaly is not quite last man, so that's why it's not a red, but the position that Marmoush is in, and with the pace that he has, if he goes through there it's a good chance. That is what makes Egypt so dangerous.

Kalidou Koulibaly is booked for taking out Omar Marmoush as he burst through the middle of the Senegal defence.

The Senegal skipper wasn't a million miles away from last-man territory there.

Bad news for Senegal - if they reach the final, Koulibaly will be suspended.

Now then, Nicolas Jackson turns to run onto a pass and runs straight into Hossam Abdelmaguid, who has already been booked.

Both players hit the deck.

The Egypt defender couldn't really do much about that, no chance he could have gotten out of Jackson's way.

Egypt enjoy a sustained spell of possession before winning a corner.

Senegal defender El Hadji Malick Diouf goes down after blocking a cross with a rather sensitive part of his body. Ouch.

After the referee aborts two attempts to take the corner because of holding in the penalty area, Senegal's Habib Diarra blazes a shot well over from the edge of the box.

That's brave from the referee. It's an early precedent to set to give a yellow.

There is a tug on the shirt from Abdelmaguid, but he let's go rather quickly.

The resulting free-kick is swung into the box but headed behind for a Senegal corner.

Hossam Abdelmaguid goes into the book for pulling Nicolas Jackson to the ground as he breaks forward.

Egypt are incensed by that decision.

Bit of a nervy moment for Egypt there as they almost give the ball away while playing out from the back, but they get away with it.

Meanwhile, Emam Ashour goes down with a head injury after contesting an aerial ball with Idrissa Gueye. He's fine to continue.

Player for player you would say that Senegal have the better depth but when you've made an Afcon final nine times as Egypt have you can never rule them out.

It's a long 90 minutes. They are both great players, players that seem to have that consistency in what they produce year after year after year, and players that don't need a lot to make a difference.

If you are facing either in a semi-final you will probably a little bit worried. A big task ahead for the defenders.

This Senegal team is such a collective unit. I think theirs is the best squad at this tournament. So many players have contributed, they've had eight different goalscorers so far, which makes them such a difficult prospect.
