  1. Look out Boro!published at 17:13 GMT 28 February

Not the best afternoon for second-placed Middlesbrough.

All of the other sides in the Championship's top six have played today and won and that doesn't happen very often in this league.

Coventry have pulled away at the top and the rest are bunching right behind them.

Boro travel to Birmingham, who have lost once at home in just shy of two years, on Monday.

    FT: Coventry 2-1 Stoke

It's actually happening, eight points clear. I’m more interested in the gap from third. Let’s seal promotion, then talk about the title.

    Mitchell, Coventry

Jack Rudoni won it for the home side deep into stoppage time today and the Sky Blues are nine points clear of third-placed Millwall.

    FT: Oxford 2-1 West Brom

    Tony 'Bomber' Brown
West Brom's all-time leading goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

Not only are the West Brom players tired physically, but also mentally - we forget about that part of the game.

The dressing room at this moment in time will be down and no one will be smiling, and rightly so.

Albion haven't really performed today and they haven't produced enough going forward to create goals.

It will be a horrible place in the dressing room now, but it has happened and these players need to move on.

Jack Rudoni's last-gasp winner against Stoke has taken Coventry eight points clear at the summit, with Middlesbrough needing to respond at Birmingham on Monday.

Millwall and Ipswich smell blood, with wins over Preston and Swansea respectively piling more pressure on Boro in the race for automatic promotion, while Hull and Wrexham also picked up gritty wins at Portsmouth and Charlton respectively.

Oxford are the big winners in the basement battle, beating West Brom to move within three points of Albion and safety, on a day when Leicester, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Charlton all lost.

  5. 'Lots and lots of pressure from Coventry'published at 17:05 GMT 28 February

    FT: Coventry 2-1 Stoke

    Mark Elliott
Stoke City commentator on BBC Radio Stoke

Any threat of challenging the top six for Stoke has pretty much gone.

Two goals in the first half, with Stoke equalising against the run of play when Coventry were dominant.

Stoke started the second half well and showed some threat of their own, and gradually Coventry started to dominate once again.

There weren't many chances there was just lots and lots of pressure from Coventry.

The Welsh flags are flying in the away end on St David's Day weekend.

I'm not sure Welshman Nathan Jones can quite believe his side haven't got something.

Outstanding afternoon for Millwall as they win three on the trot away from home for the first time since 2018.

Ryan Leonard's first league goal for over five years and substitute's Luke Cundle's second in injury time do the business for the Lions.

They are now just one point behind Middlesbrough ahead of their game at Birmingham on Monday.

Now one victory in nine for Preston as they fall down the table and further away from the top six.

A massive win for Oxford United and another day of gloom for managerless West Bromwich Albion.

it's no win in 11 for the Baggies who allowed Stan Mills and Will Lankshear to head home from first-half set-pieces.

Sub Ollie Bostock halved the deficit with a defected strike but despite a couple of good chances in the closing stages for Aune Heggebo and Krystian Bielik, it's Oxford who end their six-match winless run and inch closer to the Baggies and safety.

They are just now three points behind the Baggies, with a superior goal difference.

This relegation scrap is turning into one for the ages.

    Wrexham's play-off charge continues.

Ollie Rathbone's first-half blast proves the difference, though the Addicks spurned some good chances before the deadlcok was broken and laid siege to the Red Dragons goal late-on.

Arthur Okonkwo's late save to deny Sonny Carey could be a huge moment in the race for the top-six as it made it five wins in seven games and six games unbeaten on the road.

Charlton remain deep in trouble at the wrong end of the table.

If Ipswich could have picked an afternoon, it would have been something like this.

Ahead after three minutes through Anis Mehmeti, a second just before the break from Ivan Azom and a game sealing third in the second from sub George Hirst.

The result was never in doubt and the Tractor Boys warm up for some of the games coming up.

A disappointing day for Swansea, who are close to entering territory of can't go up, won't go down.

    Charlton 0-1 Wrexham

Arthur Okonkwo has just pulled off a worldie to deny Sonny Carey's stinging half-volley and possible ensure the points for the visitors as we go into four additional minutes.

Back to winning ways for Sheffield United on a happy hunting ground for them.

Callum O'Hare slid in the opener from Tahith Chong's deflected cross while Tyrese Campbell lashed his first goal in 17 appearances to seal the points, though Richard Kone's disallowed header in the closing stages might have set up a grandstand finale.

The Blades will still need snookers, and plenty of them, in the play-off race. The R's race looks like it might be done, however.
