We have 20 of the 24 Championship sides in action but one of the absentees is significant. With Middlesbrough having to wait until Monday before they play away at Birmingham, Coventry can open up an eight-point gap at the top with a home win over Stoke.

Nothing is ever assured at the end of February, and certainly not in this division, but that would be a very handy advantage for the Sky Blues.

Sheffield Wednesday may already be down, but the game between Oxford in 23rd and West Brom in 21st feels huge. Having sacked Eric Ramsay in midweek, the Baggies have James Morrison in interim charge and looking for some kind of boing.

And with nine points separating Wrexham in sixth from Sheffield United in 15th, play-off dreams remain alive for many, meaning there is something seriously at stake in every one of today's 10 matches.

The Championship weekend started at Ashton Gate last night, as Watford claimed a second win in three to move up to seventh in the table.

The visitors took an early lead through Luca Kjerrumgaard before Scott Twine levelled for the hosts.

Jeremy Ngakia won it for the Hornets with a sumptuous strike from outside the penalty area.

Bristol City have now failed to win any of their past three home games and their top six push looks to be faltering.

The march to March is almost complete and those sides with ambitions falling awry could be considering an early spring clean - something West Bromwich Albion started earlier this week.

Eric Ramsay only lasted 44 days at The Hawthorns and there are a couple more bosses out there who are hoping the dust will settle before they get wiped away too.

But with the end of the season fast approaching, have they got the time to salvage their positions or is their departure imminent?

Here are five things to look out for in the EFL this weekend.
