I'm hoping there is as much drama as last week because that would be fun.

    Littler v Price

Luke Littler has beaten Gerwyn Price in 12 of the last 13 meetings - will he do it again?

Luke Littler was very, very good against Stephen Bunting. There was only two trebleless visits and that meant that Stephen had nothing to jump on.

Littler was just better. He's just got it. He was switched on. Most players would have been shaken by the 167 by Bunting. Most players would have reacted but Littler gave away nothing.

He's fully sprinting for the line now.

  4. Third final for MVGpublished at 20:45 GMT 26 March

    Rock 3-6 Van Gerwen

It's a third final for Michael van Gerwen this season but first since week two, and in fact tonight has seen him win his first match since that second night of action.

We had five breaks of throw in that match so despite some decent scoring Josh Rock ended up with an average of just 90.14 with Van Gerwen much better 96.42.

Rock hit four 180s and four 140s but on his doubles he was pretty awful with just three hit from 16 attempts - that 18.75% checkout rate won't win you anything in the PDC.

Still, Rock got his win earlier in the night so he'll be happy enough at that, but he'll be off to do a bit of work on the outer ring of the board I reckon.

The match ends with a bit of a whimper really thanks to a 140 followed by a big 180 at just the right time for Michael van Gerwen on his own throw giving him plenty of breathing space.

He misses one dart at double four but returns to hit double two first time under no pressure from Josh Rock to complete a hard-fought victory in a strange old match that seemed to have plenty of heavy scoring but some heavy handed finishing.

  6. Rock still in itpublished at 20:37 GMT 26 March

    Rock 3-5 Van Gerwen

Michael van Gerwen is an inch or so away from taking out 170 as he did last week, but after missing the Big Fish he also lets a tiddler slip through the next with two misses at double eight for the match.

Josh Rock steps up and hits double four with his last dart to cling on in the match.

    Rock 2-5 Van Gerwen

    Glen Durrant

Michael van Gerwen is in a world of his own at the moment.

He is in a world of concentration and focus.

  8. MVG one awaypublished at 20:34 GMT 26 March

    Rock 2-5 Van Gerwen

A hold of throw! MVG takes out 96 for a rare leg won with the darts and he goes one away from victory in a really bizarre encounter.

  9. Another breakpublished at 20:33 GMT 26 March

    Rock 2-4 Van Gerwen

Another break of throw and more missed doubles - Josh Rock is back to his usually relationship with tops, it's much more hate than love as he misses two at it this time top finish off 52.

MVG is left with tops and after a miss takes it out double 10 to move two ahead again.

    This is a curious match.

The guy who you think deserves to win the leg is often not winning it.

  11. MVG misses this timepublished at 20:31 GMT 26 March

    Rock 2-3 Van Gerwen

This time Michael van Gerwen hands a leg over as he fails to take out 52 with two missed darts and then of all things Josh Rock hits tops to break right back and put the match back on throw.

What a strange match so far, especially the last two legs both won against the throw and out of nowhere thanks to some abject finishing.

  12. Postpublished at 20:29 GMT 26 March

    Rock 1-3 Van Gerwen

    Glen Durrant

What a nightmare for Josh Rock and what a dream last dart from Michael van Gerwen. He was never in that leg.

The shake of the head from Rock tells you everything.

  13. Disaster for Rock!published at 20:28 GMT 26 March

    Rock 1-3 Van Gerwen

How has Josh Rock lost that leg!? He hit a 180 and needed just 50 after nine darts, but then missed not one but TWO big numbers as Michael van Gerwen hit a 180 to come from nowhere.

Still Rock has three chances at double 16 but misses them all to gift the leg to MVG.

It could be 3-0 to Josh Rock...

  15. Another escapepublished at 20:27 GMT 26 March

    Rock 1-2 Van Gerwen

More woes at tops for Josh Rock with two darts missed for the leg allowing Michael van Gerwen to escape yet again and go ahead when he could have lost every leg so far.

  16. Rock off targetpublished at 20:25 GMT 26 March

    Rock 1-1 Van Gerwen

Phew, that's a big let-off for Michael van Gerwen who is in total control then misses a fat number when trying to set-up a shot at bull as Josh Rock loses in.

Rock has a chance to pinch the leg but when he misses MVG races to the oche to clean things up and level the match.

That is a staggering start from Josh Rock.

  18. A 10 darter to start!published at 20:21 GMT 26 March

    Rock 1-0 Van Gerwen

Josh Rock is on a nine darter after back-to-back 180s, but he just misses the seventh dart. He hits two more trebles though and then returns to finish off a 10 darter.

    What a remarkable start!

  19. Game on!published at 20:21 GMT 26 March

    Rock 0-0 Van Gerwen

Josh Rock is all smiles in the walk-ons with the relief of that first win taking all the pressure off. Michael van Gerwen is all business. Game on!

    Rock v Van Gerwen

    Wayne Mardle
Former World Matchplay finalist on Sky Sports

Luke Humphries missed too many doubles again. I don't know if he's thinking about it but there's no hesitation there. He's just missing at the moment.

But I thought Michael van Gerwen was very good. There is just something about him that is like 'just get through to the play-offs and I fancy myself to win number eight'.

He's won seven, why can't he win it again?
