Yes, Littler has helped make the sport more popular and even bigger, but remember: darts is nothing without the fans. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

Don't understand people that want Littler to lose. Inadvertently, he's brought a lot of life into the sport and fandom, long may it continue!

Luke must have been really mad about them because he’s usually cool as a cucumber. I thought most of them got booed by the crowd and they just blocked them out.

Think it is very easy to forget that we are still dealing with an 18-year-old in Luke Littler.

Booing from the crowd will get to him, he's only human.

He's 18 years old. As a fan would I have preferred a more mature reaction to the booing? Yes, but it's easy to forget how young he still is. Pathetic again from the crowd; the booing needs to stop. Every player deserves the same chance.

    Cameron, Birkenhead

Littler is 18 - clearly a bit affected tonight but the media (and crowd) should remember his age. What he has done for darts is phenomenal, talk of the crowd going against is just stupid - go on Littler!

Littler is the reason I got into darts. Absolutely sensational yet again. Crowd booing only fuels his red hot form. Cry more! There’s only one Luke Littler 🎯

    Odd interview from Luke Littler.

He's certainly doing his best to turn the crowd against him.

  14. 'No one wanted me to win'published at 22:41 GMT 29 December 2025

    Littler 4-2 Cross

Luke Littler speaking to Sky Sports about being booed after beating Rob Cross: "I'm not bothered. Really not bothered. You guys pay for tickets and you pay for my prize so thanks for booing me.

"I just had to hold, Rob broke me and I had to break him back. I kew if Rob hit a 180, he's on 162 so I had six darts at it. There wasn't much pressure. I saw the stats then. No one wanted me to win but I proved them wrong yet again.

"It's not in reach just yet. You've got to get to the final. I'll enjoy two days off then I'll be back on New Year's Day. I spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in London, so we'll be doing that again."

This is a right old match now. Rob Cross is throwing like we know he can and Luke Littler isn't shying away.

Littler leaves 40 from 181 but can Cross find tops? He drops low.

Up steps Littler and he nails tops for the 10-dart leg.
