A real shake of the head from Josh Rock, things just arent clicking for him at the moment.

But as we saw in the first match even if you're not playing well there's always a chance you can play your way back into a fixture.

A missed opportunity for Josh Rock. He has three darts at double 15 to win the leg but he can't find it and busts.

Michael van Gerwen made the perfect start to the 2026 Premier League, winning on night one in Newcastle last week.

The Dutchman, who has won the competition eight times, beat compatriot Gian van Veen 6-4 in the final.

Tonight, Van Gerwen begins with a match against Northern Irishman Josh Rock, who lost 6-2 to Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals last week.

Rock, who won the World Cup of Darts with Northern Ireland team-mate Gurney in June 2025, is one of the four wildcards this year. He went out of the World Championships in the fourth round, losing to Justin Hood.

He also made the semi-finals of the World Matchplay, UK Open and World Matchplay last year.

A 102.37 average from Luke Humphries is solid, but his check-out rate definitely wasn't.

Humphries hit just 22.73% of his doubles. Luke Littler hit 35.29% – not exactly spectacular, but much better than his opponent.

The Premier League is rapid. That match went the distance and it took just 17 minutes.

Next up, eight-time champion Michael van Gerwen, who won night one, takes on Josh Rock.
