  1. 'I know what it's like to beat him, that gives me confidence' - Van Veenpublished at 19:45 GMT 12 February

    Price v Van Veen

Gian van Veen says he was "intimidated" when he first played against Gerwyn Price, but previous meetings mean he now has "much more confidence" going into tonight's encounter.

“The first couple of times we played, Gerwyn beat me every time, and if I remember correctly, he averaged above 105 every time as well,” said Van Veen.

“He played phenomenal darts in all those games, but especially in the first couple of games I played him, I was quite intimidated by him on stage.

“Now I think I’ve grown so much as a player, and I think that first win over him was really needed.

“I got that in Prague last year, and we’ve only played each other once since then.

“Now I know what it’s like to beat him, and what it takes to beat him, and that gives me much more confidence going into this game.”

Welshman Gerwyn Price is searching for his first win of the 2026 Premier League, having lost 6-5 to Luke Humphries in a narrow quarter-final encounter in Newcastle.

Gian van Veen, who lost to Michael van Gerwen in the final on night one, will be looking to pick up his first night win in the Premier League.

Van Veen was beaten by Luke Littler in the final of the PDC World Championship but moved up to third in the Order of Merit and booked automatic qualification for the Premier League.

Price finished fourth in the Premier League standings in 2025 but lost to Littler in the semi-finals.

    Result: Clayton 6-4 Bunting

It is Luke Littler v Michael Gerwen in the first semi-final.

In the second, it will be Jonny Clayton against the winner of tonight's last quarter-final between Gerwyn Price and Gian van Veen.

Could we be set for an all-Welsh semi final between Clayton and Price?

  4. Clayton turns it around to beat Buntingpublished at 19:34 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 6-4 Bunting

What a comeback from Jonny Clayton. What a finish to seal it.

Clayton takes out 124 to wrap it up. His victory comes after winning six legs in a row.

Stephen Bunting had been 4-0 up. That was like watching two different forms of Clayton at points.

  5. Clayton breaks to take the leadpublished at 19:33 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 5-4 Bunting

Jonny Clayton took until the fifth leg to wake up but he has absolutely found his rhythm now.

He takes out tops and Stephen Bunting is now trailing.

83% success on doubles from Clayton this evening. He didn't see a double in the first four legs.

  6. Clayton holds to levelpublished at 19:31 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 4-4 Bunting

Wow. It did not seem like this would happen when Stephen Bunting was 4-0 up.

Another maximum from Jonny Clayton to begin this leg before he eventually takes out 64.

  7. Clayton breaks againpublished at 19:29 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 3-4 Bunting

This was looking like an easy victory for Stephen Bunting. Not anymore.

He leads by just one leg now.

He lost 6-2 after winning the first two legs last week. Surely he can't lose from 4-0 up?

Jonny Clayton has averaged 125.25 in the past two legs.

This is the leg, this is the leg right here, if it goes 5-2 then Stephen Bunting will relax, if it goes 4-3 then he won't even be able to remember his own name.

    Now we have a game.

  9. Clayton holds his throwpublished at 19:27 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 2-4 Bunting

Arghhh. Jonny Clayton hit six perfect darts, but can't find a nine darter.

He leaves 50 and easily takes it out with 18 and double 16 on his next visit. Stephen Bunting is still on 250.

    Could he turn this around?

  10. Clayton breaks to pull a leg backpublished at 19:26 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 1-4 Bunting

Some great scoring from Stephen Bunting in that leg, who finds a 171.

Bunting, though, can't take out 68 and two poor darts leave him unable to visit a double.

He sets up a finish on 16 but it doesn't matter. Jonny Clayton takes out 60 to break Bunting's throw.

  11. Bunting breaks againpublished at 19:23 GMT 12 February

    Clayton 0-4 Bunting

Jonny Clayton hits the bullseye as he looks to check out 132... but can't hit it with his second dart.

Stephen Bunting then takes out 65.

This is a whitewash so far.

Fun fact Jonny Clayton is from a small south wales town called Llanelli. Our other great stars include a world finalist dart player Marshall James and our rugby team the Scarlets once beat a full team all blacks. Not bad for a place most people have never heard off

Surely we've all heard of Llanelli haven't we? Let us know, and if there's any more famous sports stars from the area...

One bad game after a loss and it's oh, has the Premier League found him out, that's what Josh Rock has to deal with, and Stephen Bunting has got to answer similar questions in this game or it will continue on about him as well.

Jonny Clayton has a stellar Premier League record, having won it on his debut in 2021, but is making his return this year after missing the past two editions.

Clayton went out in the semi-finals in Newcastle, losing to runner-up Gian van Veen.

His opponent in the quarter-finals tonight is Stephen Bunting, who finished bottom of the table last year having won just one night.

Bunting was crushed 6-2 in the opening round by last week's winner Michael van Gerwen.

Both players have joined the tournament as wildcards this year. Bunting is currently ranked seventh in the PDC Order of Merit, while Clayton is fifth.
