    Harrysson 0-0 Pietreczko (2-1)

Andreas Harrysson has already caused one major upset this year, eliminating 12th seed Ross Smith in round one. He is very much the underdog again here.

One thing Harrysson does have though, in the words of Hot Fuzz, is a great big bushy beard. It is quite exceptional facial hair.

And he has game too - a hold of throw here after a 95 finish. Some excellent darts from the bearded man so far.

    Harrysson 0-0 Pietreczko (1-1)

There are some very loud German fans in the audience chanting for Pietreczko. But Andreas Harrysson is not cowed as he hits another 180.

Pietreczko responds with 140 to set up a 121 finish - but is just wide of the bull!

Harryson is on 82 again, but this time is well down on tops. Pietreczko cleans up.

    Harrysson 0-0 Pietreczko (1-0)

Is Andreas Harrysson nervous about his debut at this stage? Well, he's thrown a 180 with the first visit of the game. That may be your answer.

Harrysson gets to a finish of 82, and bangs in tops to convert. Excellent start from the Swede.

    Harrysson v Pietreczko

Ricardo Pietreczko is nicknamed 'Pikachu' because of his soundalike surname, and walks on to the classic Pokemon cartoon theme song.

My little 90s nerd heart is swelling. Love it.

    Harrysson v Pietreczko

    Right, let's play darts.

First up we have a meeting of two unseeded players both enjoying an unexpected post-Christmas adventure at Ally Pally.

That certainly is the case for Sweden's Andreas Harrysson - the 50-year-old came through qualifying and is making his World Championship debut.

Standing in the way of Harrysson's dream run continuing is the German world number 33 Ricardo Pietreczko. The winner here faces fifth seed Jonny Clayton in round four.

Will be interesting to see how Littler handles the slow style of Suljovic tonight - one things for sure, he won't speed Mensur up!

    Littler v Suljovic

    Mark Webster
Former BDO world champion on Sky Sports

Luke Littler has come through [the first two rounds] pretty unscathed, although he could have lost a set in his previous match.

It doesn't look like the pressure's got to him of being a defending champion and I don't think it will affect him tonight.

Mensur is a slow player but each player he's played has been quite methodical so that's nothing new for Luke and I think he'll be fine.

Fifth seed Jonny Clayton needed a deciding set to eventually overcome world number 44 Niels Zonneveld and reach the last 16 of the PDC World Championship.

Welshman Clayton, 51, was back in action after a 12-day break, having received a bye through to round three because his second-round opponent Dom Taylor was suspended for failing a drugs test.

The first six sets of a high-quality match all went with the throw, Clayton moving a set in front of Zonneveld on three separate occasions, but the Dutch left-hander kept responding in an impressive display.

However, the former Premier League champion found the key break of throw in the second leg of the deciding set before sealing victory.

Luke Woodhouse, the 25th seed, defeated fellow Englishman Andrew Gilding 4-1 to reach the fourth round for the second successive year.

Woodhouse will next face Poland's Krzysztof Ratajski, who beat Dutchman Wesley Plaisier in a deciding set.

    Breaking

    Clayton 4-3 Zonneveld (3-0)

Jonny Clayton gets two match darts - and lands the second in the D16.

A huge celebration from Clayton, that shows how hard he had to work in this match. A massive test from Niels Zonneveld, passed by the fifth seed.

    Clayton 3-3 Zonneveld (2-0)

What on earth has Jonny Clayton done here? He's chucked in an opening visit of 42 to completely hand momentum back to his foe.
