    Harrysson 2-1 Pietreczko (1-1)

Ricardo just hasn't presented his normal B-plus game even.

He's been floating along and relying on some skill here and there, especially the 158 checkout to win set two. Failing that, he's a set away from going out.

He needs to improve almost immediately. He can afford to lose this set but you want to get to 2-2.

    Harrysson 2-1 Pietreczko (1-1)

Ricardo Pietreczko has not won a leg since that massive 158 checkout. Instead of sparking him into life, it seems to have galvanised Harrysson.

    A calm 140 sets up Harrysson on a 95 finish - but he's wide of D8.

Can Pietreczko punish with 116? Yes! Once again a ton-plus finish, from nowhere, to break back.

    Harrysson 2-1 Pietreczko (1-0)

After two tight legs, that was an Explosion. Can Pikachu respond, or will he Self-Destruct?

Ricardo Pietreczko is definitely not playing his best, and the noisy Germany section of the fans in Ally Pally have been somewhat quietened.

Andreas Harrysson meanwhile keeps on chugging - another 180 there, he has five to Pietreczko's one.

Harrysson has three at D18... only needs one. An early break in set four.

Andreas Harrysson is averaging over 100 in set three. He looks refreshed after a disappointing second set.

He needs 54 to win the set - and cleans it up in tidy fashion.

    Sweden 2-1 Germany.

    Harrysson 1-1 Pietreczko (2-0)

Pikachu is suddenly being drawn to the trebles like he's using Shock Wave. That's a move that never misses, folks.

However Andreas Harrysson continues to be the heavier scorer, and is yet again first to a finish. He sets himself up with three darts for 80.

20, 20... well short of tops.

But Pietreczko also misses D20, and Harrysson has more luck at D10. The Swede will win set three with a hold.

  6. Postpublished at 19:54 GMT 27 December 2025

    Harrysson 1-1 Pietreczko (1-0)

Ricardo Pietreczko is looking much more confident now, getting 180 from his first visit of the set.

Andreas Harrysson however is first to a finish, 86. He's just wide of the final D4 though.

He gets it next time around.

    Harrysson 1-1 Pietreczko (0-0)

That was an absolutely vital 158 from Ricardo Pietreczko, without that he's probably 2-0 down and facing a massive uphill climb.

How can Andreas Harrysson respond to that setback? He leads us off in set three.

  10. Pietreczko wins set two with 158 checkoutpublished at 19:49 GMT 27 December 2025

    Harrysson 1-1 Pietreczko (2-3)

Ricardo Pietreczko must hold here, or he's 2-0 down.

Pikachu takes his time to take on a Potion/water, but he's still not scoring nearly as heavily as Harrysson. The German's main chances so far have come when the Swede has dawdled on doubles.

Harrysson sets himself up an 81 finish, with Pietreczko on 158...

But Pietreczko nails it! From nowhere, a stunning T20, T20, D19, and we are all square.

    Harrysson 1-0 Pietreczko (2-2)

Both men averaged over 95 in the first set, but both are under 85 in this second set. It's as if the nerves have set in for both.

Andreas Harrysson responds with his fourth 180 of the match, and gets himself set up on three at D18 to draw level in the set.

Single 18, miss... D9! The Swede as cool as a cucumber.

    Harrysson 1-0 Pietreczko (1-2)

A real Quick Attack from Pikachu there, hitting Harrysson like a Thunderbolt. But can he press the advantage?

Both men are scoring very inconsistently, Pietreczko shaking his head after a junk visit of 46, followed by one of 55.

Andreas Harrysson sets up three at D8, and needs all of them to break back.

    Harrysson 1-0 Pietreczko (0-2)

    John Part
Former PDC world champion on Sky Sports

That rather came from nowhere, it was an unexpected break of throw. It was a real giveaway in a lot of senses by the Swede.

    Harrysson 1-0 Pietreczko (0-2)

Andreas Harrysson shakes off that strange conclusion to hit his third 180 of the match. Pietreczko responds with his maiden maximum.

Harrysson keeps hitting the trebles with regularity, while Pikachu is still Double Teaming around T20.

But suddenly, neither man can hit a double! A poor bit of finishing by Harrysson, who allows Pietreczko to come from way back and win a contest over D2 to break.

    Harrysson 1-0 Pietreczko (0-1)

Can Pikachu pull out a Volt Switch and come back at 'Dirty' Harrysson here?

Ricardo Pietreczko throws first in set two, but only hits 60 on that visit. He is really struggling to land in the treble 20.

A better 140 visit sets up a 110 out, but Harrysson is much more consistent so far and lurks on 95.

No good from the German, so the Swede has a shot - but he tries for single 20, 25 and bull. An odd strategy that doesn't come off, and Pietreczko sweeps up.

  18. What is the format from now on?published at 19:32 GMT 27 December 2025

    • Third and fourth round: Best of seven sets
    • Quarter-finals: Best of nine sets
    • Semi-finals: Best of 11 sets
    • Final: Best of 13 sets

Only in matches where players are level on sets and legs in the deciding set do players need to win by two clear legs.

    Harrysson 1-0 Pietreczko (3-2)

This first set has gone with the throw. If Andreas Harrysson holds again, he goes ahead in the match.

Ricardo Pietreczko is struggling to land in trebles here, giving Harryson a clear run to the finish with back to back 60 visits.

Harryson has time to set himself three set darts at tops. First is too high, but the second is bang on.

    Sweden 1-0 Germany.

    Harrysson 0-0 Pietreczko (2-2)

Ricardo Pietreczko is the highest-ranked unseeded player, and 81 places higher in the world rankings than his opponent here. On paper he should win easily - but the dartboard is made of cork!

Pietreczko has plenty of time here with Harrysson well off the pace, and gets himself three darts at double four.

    He only needs one.
