Luke Littler beat Josh Rock 17-14 in a superb World Matchplay semi-final in Blackpool last summer.

As mentioned earlier, Rock is yet to beat the world number one...

    Littler v Rock

Josh Rock wasn't anywhere near his best in his quarter-final against Krzysztof Ratajski, but the Northern Irishman got the job done with a 10-7 win.

The slow pace of Ratajski didn't suit the style of Rock, whereas the fast throwing of Luke Littler sets up what is sure to be a cracking match.

    Littler v Rock

This might not have been the drawn Josh Rock wanted to see.

He's failed to beat Luke Littler in the six matches the two have played but I guess there's a first time for everything.

Is this going to be the first time?

UK Open finalist James Wade, speaking to ITV4 following his 11-8 semi-final victory over Gerwyn Price: "Gezzy played really well in the beginning and middle parts but just eased up.

"I felt up for it and the more he gave it large, the more it fed me.

"I think he's probably the nicest bloke in darts - on the stage, he's not! But off stage, he's the loveliest man in the world and it's hard to play someone who is really nice."

On how comfortable he felt on stage, after saying he felt nervous during his quarter-final win: "I told you I wouldn't make the same mistake."

    Result: Wade 11-8 Price

What a fantastic semi-final to start the session.

James Wade ends with a magnificent average of 105.53, while Gerwyn Price's 101.39 would often be more than enough to win - just not tonight.

Wade hit a remarkable 11 180s to Price's four and his relentless scoring meant he was able to overcome a checkout percentage of 34.38%, well down on the Ice Man's 44.44%.

Great numbers, but they don't do justice to quite how good that match was!

    Sensational from James Wade!

He's through to a fifth UK Open final.

The Machine capitalises on a treble-less visit from Gerwyn Price with a 180 to ramp up the pressure.

Still Price nearly comes back, attempting to go bull-bull after blocking the treble needing 120.

He can't get the second of them, though and Wade returns to hit double 10 to progress.

Superb from Gerwyn Price, hitting double nine under pressure for the 96 checkout.

It comes after James Wade misses a dart at bull for the match.

    On we go...

    Wade 10-7 Price

Big shout from Gerwyn Price after hitting double five.

He extends the match and he's not given up on this one just yet.

That was evident when he responded to a 180 from James Wade in that leg with one of his own.

The Welshman still need another four unanswered legs, though.

  20. Wade closes inpublished at 20:06 GMT 8 March

    Wade 10-6 Price

James Wade is just a leg away now.

He's the wrong side of the wire on the double 10 to end one visit but when Gerwyn Price can't take out 156, he gets another go.

No mistake this time. The end is nigh for Gezzy...
