BBC Wales Sport at M&S Bank Arena, LiverpoolGerwyn Price goes into this evening’s opening match against Gian van Veen full of confidence on the back of achieving a major career milestone last weekend.
The 41-year-old Welshman became only the second player after Michael van Gerwen to reach double figures on the European Tour after winning the European Darts Grand Prix in Germany.
"I was just struggling to get over the winning line, I lost in the last European Tour final that I played in," Price said following his 8-6 win over Ross Smith.
"Thankfully I won this one and hopefully it will give me a bit of confidence going forward."
Price is seeking a second nightly win in this year’s Premier League, having beaten Van Veen in the night nine final in Manchester earlier this month.

Premier League darts format & points systempublished at 19:11 BST 23 April
19:11 BST 23 AprilPremier League Darts is played across 16 initial weeks in the league stage with quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final each night.
Each of the eight players is guaranteed to face the other seven in the quarter-finals in weeks one to seven and 9-15, with week eight and week 16 fixtures done off the table. It means we will get fourth v fifth in Sheffield on the final league-stage night, with the play-off spots potentially on the line.
Players earn two points per quarter-final win, an additional point if they win their semi-final and five for winning the night.
The top four players after the group stage progress to the play-off night at London's O2 Arena on 28 May, with first facing fourth and second against third in a best-of-19-leg match. The final, which is the best of 21 legs, follows.
If players are level on points after the 16 weeks then places are decided by nights won and then matches won.

Image source, Getty ImagesOn night 11, Jonny Clayton delighted the Rotterdam crowd as he beat Luke Littler 6-4 to extend his lead at the top of the Premier League table.
The Welshman kept his cool during an early blitz from Littler in the final and came through to claim back-to-back nightly wins and his fourth of the year.
Having beaten Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals and held off a fightback from world number two Luke Humphries to win a thrilling semi-final 6-5, Clayton proved a challenge too far for Littler.
Clayton is now five points clear of second-placed Littler but the world champion has an 11-point buffer to fifth and both men are all-but assured of a place at the O2 Arena for finals night on 28 May.

Tonight's opening match is between Gerwyn Price and Gian van Veen.
Welshman Price beat the Dutchman in the final in Manchester three weeks ago but neither player has registered a match win since.
Price starts tonight third in the table, six points ahead of fifth-placed Luke Humphries, while sixth-placed Van Veen must bridge a four-point gap to fourth place over the next few weeks if he is to make the play-offs in his debut Premier League campaign.
