This is such a good start from Scotland. They're all over West Indies here. They've got the dangerous Qiana Joseph. They've been disciplined and dried up the runs.

  2. WI 24-1published at 5 overs

Four runs and a wicket in the over. Scotland will be very happy with that.

She has taken an absolutely fantastic catch and done so well to make sure she stays in the field of play.

Oh it's magic. Absolute magic. Katherine Fraser takes the ball high above her head on the mid-wicket fence and somehow manages to keep the ball and herself in play.

It looked like six all the way. Qiana Joseph is out.

Qiana Joseph is standing her ground.

Is this a catch? If it is it's sensational from Katherine Fraser on the mid-wicket boundary.

The only question is whether she has touched the boundary rope during her dive.

The two opening batters have decided to get a bit of a move on after the Scottish bowlers kept them on a leash.

  8. WI 20-0published at 4 overs

We say that about West Indies but if Scotland can win this they'd have a real shot at a semi-final. With New Zealand having already lost two and West Indies still having England to play, Scotland would be right in the mix with their England match to come on Saturday.

Hayley Matthews finally gets one away but lifting Fontenla over the leg side for four.

A lot of pressure is starting to build on West Indies. This is a game which they've identified that they could win to get closer to the semi-final stage.

  10. WI 13-0published at 3 overs

    Joseph 9, Matthews 2

That's a really good start from Rachel Slater. There's a wide in there but six dots otherwise continues this impressive opening from Scotland.

Hayley Matthews, often strutting and striking fear, looks tentative.

Gogsy: Not impossible for Scotland to win this. Their confidence must be high after the comfortable win and good performance versus Ireland.

  12. WI 12-0published at 2.3 overs

A bowling change early on. Left-armer Rachel Slater, who plays her domestic cricket here with Yorkshire, enters the attack and makes a good start.

When Qiana Joseph stands and hits it, it stays hit. She's an extremely powerful stroke player. There was no stopping that.

  14. WI 12-0published at 2 overs

I liked the look of Scotland's seamer Gabriella Fontenla the other day at Old Trafford. She only turned 18 a few weeks ago but has a bit of pace and moves the ball. She's raw but there's something there.

As I say that, the powerful Qiana Joseph slams a four through the covers.

It's a good start from Scotland. The first ball was a streaky boundary but Kathryn Bryce has been on the money. I think they will be pretty happy with this start.

  16. WI 6-0published at 1 over

It's a streaky start for left-hander Qiana Joseph, who nicks the first ball of the innings fine where a slip would have been standing. Bryce is getting a fair bit of swing early on.

  17. WI 0-0published at 18:32 BST 18 June

Skipper Kathryn Bryce is putting herself straight into the action from the off again, taking the first over.

Qiana Joseph - England know what she can do from that group-stage defeat in 2024 - is on strike.

Scotland have never beaten West Indies in T20s, though this is only the second meeting.

That said, wins over Bangladesh, Netherlands and Pakistan gave Scotland real momentum before this World Cup.

The return of Kirstie Gordon and the form of the Sarah and Kathryn Bryce makes them look a confident side.

A win tonight, against a side who beat New Zealand in their opener, would be a major scalp.

With this crowd very sparse, Flower of Scotland does boom out like it did in Boston a few nights ago but it remains one of the great anthems.

Rally Round the West Indies isn't bad either.
