Deandra Dottin is double Bryced! The West Indies' middle-order batter charges at Kathryn Bryce but misses while trying to hit the ball into the rugby pitch. Sarah Bryce does the rest behind the stumps.

Jerry: After last night’s heroics, I am so pleased that at long last the hugely talented Fatima Sana will be here for The Hundred - not before time!

Correct, Jerry. Our full story on that one is here.

  3. WI 74-2published at 12 overs

Yorker! Katherine Fraser knocks Deandra Dottin off her feet with a well-directed full ball. After finding the fielder with three shots which probably deserve more than a single, the Windies finally get a much-needed boundary when Shemaine Campbelle advances down the track and gets an inside edge for four. It's not pretty but the Windies will take whatever they can at this stage.

Maybe the wicket isn't as good as it usually is. It's normally a belter here in Headingley.

  5. WI 66-2published at 11 overs

It looks like West Indies are going to try and sweep their way to a score but they're still not going anywhere.

There have only been six boundaries in the innings.

I wonder if one of those fielders had taken the initiative, that could have been a chance. Maybe not.

  7. WI 59-2published at 10 overs

Chloe Abel releases the pressure a little with a few full tosses in her first over. She got away with the first couple but the third is biffed down the ground by Shemaine Campbelle.

Campbelle skies one at the end of the over too but it lands in a gap between two fielders. Neither really went for it but I'm not sure they'd have got there.

Deandra Dottin is a threat with the bat because she can clear the boundaries but also runs quickly between the wicket.

  9. WI 49-2published at 9 overs

    Campbelle 15, Dottin 4

You won't find many quicker between the wickets in the women's game than Deandra Dottin and that helps her get back for two in Gordon's first over. Good placement too.

Gordon, shades on in the sunshine, fields off her own bowling next to squeeze in another dot ball.

MW-41: As someone in the ground, the match day experience is not as good as it should be. Very few food outlets, our view of a quarter of the ground blocked by nets. A shame for a World Cup.

  11. WI 45-2published at 8 overs

That wicket brings in Deandra Dottin - another with plenty of experience.

Kirstie Gordon hasn't even bowled yet, though it looks like she's coming on now.

It's a lovely ball. Hayley Matthews has struggled today. I actually thought at the toss she didn't sound like herself. She sounded like she was full of a cold and wasn't feeling very well. But she couldn't get the ball away.

A massive moment in the game. Scotland will believe here.

Hayley Matthews is gone! Scotland are sensing something here.

The West Indies captain was going back to cut, trying to make room to hit through the off side, but Katherine Fraser skids it through to beat the bat.

Matthews goes for 14 from 22 balls.

There is no question that Hayley Matthews over the last few years has carried this West Indies team at times.

  16. WI 41-1published at 7.1 overs

Lovely from Shemaine Campbelle and the first real sign of invention. She greets Katherine Fraser's off-spin with a delightful reverse sweep.

Gogsy: Catch of the tournament! Not only to couch the ball but to stay inside the boundary. Take a bow, Katherine Fraser!

  18. WI 37-1published at 7 overs

    Matthews 13, Campbelle 8

On the resumption after drinks there's another good piece of Scottish fielding as Kirstie Gordon leaps at backward point to make a Craig Gordon-style stop.

This is the same pitch on which India scored 209-5 yesterday.

Shemaine Campbelle is a very dangerous player but it has tended to be cameos in her career rather than extended innings.

  20. WI 33-1published at 6 overs

Shemaine Campbelle, who scored 90 not out in the win over New Zealand, flicks a four off her hip to get the score moving again.

There were 17 dot balls in that powerplay. The introduction of in-form Campbelle should help things for West Indies.
