India captain Suryakumar Yadav: "We're happy with the decision. We were looking to bat first.

"Sometimes pressure brings out the best from you. The mood in the camp is happy. Hopefully we enjoy our cricket.

"[We need to improve] in all departments. If you win or lose, you learn something. We need to forget what happened in the last game, play the way you've been playing the past year, and be fearless."

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza: "We're going to have a bowl first. This is not your usual Chennai wicket. It looks slightly moist so we want to give our seamers the best chance to make early inroads.

"Certainly from the last game [we need] a bit of improvement in our fielding and also our execution with the ball. If we can restrict India to a low total with the ball, it will go a long way.

"It's going to come down to a battle of nerves."
